   Anything possible to get it noticed, I know with wordpress you can set it up to automatically ping services when you have published, so adding a few of them to the auto ping is a must.

    Firstly, I use a lot of ezine articles throughout my network, and I have now added you to my ban list of authors that I avoid - and I will give you two reasons why:

    As for your question, I've been using a paid wordpress plugin randomly posts each entry to 4 out of 26 sites (to avoid any risk of seeming to spam the smaller sites) and if I personally am extra-proud of the content I will manually promote it to reddit and stumbleupon and that's it. Personally, stumbleupon gets me the worst traffic - lots of hits, less than 5seconds, and no new subscribers, and usually on the day that it's stumbled only. Reddit seems to do good for longer periods of time, and my subscribers seem to go up. But then, you just never know with Feedburner as numbers go up or down by 20% for no apparent reason anyway.

    I won't Stumble or Digg my own stuff, and I've decided that a shameless promotion here for every great new post is overkill. I'll only do it if I think something is relevant to a broad section of BC members, and that is rarely the case. I also have my weblog editor ping some places when I hit post. So far these are:

    Since I use Feedburner for my RSS feeds, I also have pings going to other places too.

    After each post I usually sit back and enjoy a coffee.
    And no, I don't do anything to promote it other than the default ping that gets sent out by WordPress.
