what's a good post comment system

i am looking for a blog comment system that meets my tastes. i have intensedebate now but on any post that doesn't have any comments there is no stand-out link to follow for comments, and since almost all my posts have no comments i can see that this is driving away comments.

JS-Kit Comments (formerly Halloscan) supports automated installation for Wordpress and Blogger but you can insert the JavaScript on any platform. js-kit.com/comments/

i switched to disqus but it looks as if the system is still intensedebate. what am i failing to do?

I believer that the only way the appearance could be exactly the same is if you failed to remove ALL of the intensedebate code, prior to entering the Disqus code.

me again. i just switched to disqus. same appearance as with intensedebate.
