Discussions

We need some new discussions 'round here of a non-religious nature. All respects due to baking soda, of course.

So as I was travelling last week back and forth to L.A. and playing the hell out of my I-pod, I started wondering. With the diverse group of folks we have here, what's on your playlist at the moment?

Here's one I recently made for handicapping horse races, which can be like intense puzzle solving.

1. Joy Division: "Love Will Tear Us Apart"
2. U2: "With or Without You"
3. The Cure: "Just Like Heaven"
4. Wyclef/Akon/Lil Wayne: "Sweetest Girl"
5. Fuel: "Shimmer"
6. John Butler Trio: "What You Want"
7. Red Hot Chili Peppers: "Scar Tissue"
8. Foo Fighters: "The Best of You"
9. Notorious B.I.G.: "Juicy" (my anthem in high school)
10. Outkast: "Wheels of Steel"
11. Bruce Springsteen: "Radio Nowhere"
12. Wu Tang Clan: "Protect ya neck"

Yeah...where else would you expect to find Bruce followed by Method Man and Raekwon the chef?
So let's see it. What the hey are you listening to right now?

I can't help myself. I just need to point out that there is no such thing as an I-Pod (well...you might be able to buy one on the streets of Shanghai). The little boxes that makes noise are called iPods.

my mobile got wet because I misjudged the depth of a saltwater stream. It died for 3 months and then healed itself.

Nope, sunk like a rock. I did everything to save it. CPR didn't work. The defibrillator didn't work. Telling it i love you had no result. It was hopeless, completely hopeless.

I hate to keep showing my age, but iPod is that thing my daughter has that doesn't seem to have enough buttons on it to do anything productive.
