I've had a lot of luck with godaddy hosting. As low as 8 bucks a month, and all the options. Can't beat that!

i have looked into godaddy, and i love their google adwords and microsoft adcenter credits. but their storage and transfer space seem to be lower than more other web host.

i'm narrowing down my preference so anyone who's willing to help me will have a good answer.

    what i need:
    - multiple domains
    - large storage
    - impressive uptime percent rate (not only the claims)
    - can install Wordpress for a blog for free (like Fantastico)
    - accepts PayPal payment
    - and most of all, cheap yet very reliable

1- You can install wordpress everywhere.
2- Don't look for the cheapest hosting, there is always a catch
3- What kind of server you need? Shared-hosted,dedicated,semi-dedicated
    4- what is your budget?
5- large storage will cost you a little extra.
6- Multi-domain can apply to any host
7- Look on forum about hosting, you can find some coupon that can help you to have a decent discount
8- Look at the company reputation, don't go where there are lot of complaint
9- Look for a hosting that have a forum..because some hosting that have problem with customer before..they don't want to deal with that and you can expect to have a bad customer services!

    Cheaper is not better.
I use siteground they are very good.Respnd time when ever I have had to email them is fast. They also watch for dos attacks, of which I've had one recently.
DreamHost is also good I hear.

hey, why do you need a web host, just buy a domain at godaddy!......because you get free hosting and unlimited bandwidth from blogger....and what's more, your blog is hosted on a google server, whose reputation can't be challenged......

thanks for that comprehensive suggestions kiwipulse

@ xtremer - i really don't like the blogger platform. Wordpress is better.

Hostgator is great in my opinion.

$7.95 a month, unlimited domains, easy install of Wordpress, C Panel.

I have 15 domains on it right now.

I have also Hostgator but prefer UbiquityHosting because I wanted to install Wordpress Mu:
      www.wordpressnovice.com/2009/04/create-your-own-social-network-with.html
which allows to build a social network with Wordpress

We use Ipower. They are from 3.95 to 7.95 month for shared server. Domains are free with hosting. Nice plugins with several applications easy to install including Wordpress, php, e-commerce, shopping carts, feeds, etc. Good customer service as well. Uptime has been 100% since inception. I've heard hostgator is good as well. This link will take you to the site..FWIW.
    Good luck.

I've had real speed issues with GoDaddy, been fond of NetFirms for the last year.
    1. EntrepreneurNovice
Don't like Netfirms support, slow and not very competent.

      @entrepreneurnovice
You are speaking to a member who hasn't posted since 2008. In other words you are talking to yourself. What's up with this pattern you have of activating old threads to carry on conversations with yourself?
    3. EntrepreneurNovice
No I didn't activate it, it was in the frontpage so someone else did before me

Ahhh the resurrection zombies are at it again.

I've been using Hostgator and they are great. Their customer service is outstanding. The cost is $7.95 for 600 GB disk space, 6k GB bandwidth, unlimited domains, they have cPanle with Fantastico, unlimited POP3 email accounts and more. I've been using them since November and it has not been down at all that I know of and speed is very good.

hostgator.com and host9.com I have used both for years and have many domains. If you going with yahoo, godaddy ipowerweb.com or any like them you are asking for problem down the road...my 2 cents.
