My personal blog,"Life in Black & White" holds it's inspiration from the idea of giving my life in print to the world.Besides, the idea of spinning the spectrum of my life in the two colours that hold the universe(which is in my post:my love for B&W).
My health blog "Life in the Health lane" aims for healthy living for the general,so it's named on a local loaction.

I like the story about your blog names. “Life in Black and White” is a great name for a blog.

My blog was dubbed “Into the Inkpot” because I am a writer, and because of the ominous, dark color of ink. There is a totally different story to go with the latter reason.

Thanks a lot Erina for the lovely note of appreciation:)

I liked the name of your blog and after visiting, loved it!

      Well my blog

      iriejamaica.blogspot.com/

represents how I feel bout Jamaica. Irie means, "feeling good." Most of the time that is how I feel about life in general. I wanted people who read my blog to feel good as well.

      My other blog

      ineedstimulation.blogspot.com/ (mental stimulation)

I thought of this title because in life we do need things around us to stimulate growth of our mind.

Well my husband was talking with one of his customers about me and some of the things I do. Well long story short this guy ended up saying "Oh, she is one of those Y-2K hippies." So, when my husband told me about it I kind of laughed but then really thought about it and agreed with him..lol.. So, a few days later I changed my blogs name...

    That's my story..lol..

What a perfect time for this question!

Here's my teaser to my friends at BC. In a few days my husband and I will officially launch a new blog with the title The Right Blue. It's about our love of the the ocean and lifetime of experiences as divers.

Here's an explanation of the title, from the About page:

'The Right Blue' refers to the goal of a lifelong pursuit. Sea water viewed from beneath the surface comes in many hues and shades. Surfers wait for the perfect wave; divers seek the right blue.

    Stay tuned... ;-}

I do a lot of training and consulting.. and for years (including the late 1990's) I would joke with the client that... "And if you have any questions, feel free to call me anytime .. at 1-800-HART (dot) com .. or CALL-HART (dot) com. Well, I started blogging May 31, 2005. By June 9th, 2005 I realized the value of domains and I tried to register my name (which is Hartley B. Singer) ... and found out that - HartleySinger.com was registered already! By a fellow named Hartley E. Singer. Needless to say I was peeved. Then, I thought about those saying that I had been saying for years and wondered if they were available and decided to register them before they were taken. 1800HART.com and CALLHART.com.

I currently consider 1800HART.com to be my main blog "about HART", and there's surprise about the name. But, I struggled about what to do with the other one .. callhart.com .. CALLHART.com CALLhart.com .. callHART.com .. >> That last spelling looked good to me, that I should call a site something .. call HART something ..

Needless to say - I came up with about 50 stupid potential titles .. and then I finally figured what to do. Instead of having a blog in the main domain callHART.com .. I would create a folder and put the blog there, and my "something" would be the name of that folder.

    I chose ... callHART.com/crazy (call HART crazy)

I try to start every post with a blockquote: "call HART crazy .. but" .. then I am using this for stuff I like, or stuff I don't like - that simple. If I'm indifferent about things, I don't post much

I wanted to turn it into the exact opposite of what I named it. Since I have interests in so many things and absolutely no self control to keep myself on one topic I figured calling it "A Blog about Nothing" and then blogging about everything possible would be a good way to do just that.

My blog Bryan's Political Science Blog is titled that way because I am a political science major at Oklahoma State University. Younger's Car Blog is pretty self explanatory it is a blog about rebuilding a car and other car related stuff. Younger's Family Blog. You guessed it a blog about my family. Sorry there is no deep meaning like yours but I'm happy with what I've got.

Having a philosophical or personal background to naming anything isn't always important. What I feel most important about naming anything is the relevancy & how apt the name is.Your blog titles say it optimally what they contain:)

Wow you did that at seven. At seven my dog was named pepper because I thought that everything that was black was somehow related to pepper.
  9. Phattitudes
Pissing In Cheerios is based on the old saying "Who pissed in your cheerios?". Basically, I'm that person who pissed in your cheerios, or so my blog implies. Kind of a no holds barred, tell it like it is, random crazy thought blog.

Phattitudes comes from several different things. Positive Healthy Attitudes and the slang for phat meaning its awesome, nice, cool, etc. So basically its all about a good attitude. And really, it also lends itself to being happy with your size, regardless.

The other blog, Ivory Lies, is a personal blog thats named because of white lies. Just a play on words.

mine is called "something to talk about..." This is the title of a song by Badly Drawn Boy. I really love the song. And then since I talk about anything and everything on my blog I guess the title fits!
  13. hammed
Since I'm a huge fan of The Beatles I thought of a song I like that will describe in some way, shope or form the contents of my blog.

STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER makes me think of happy thoughts, interesting ideas aand colorful worlds.

Mollitudes was named after Molly, my Jack Russell Terrier who hs quite an attitude. I am working on a book with that title and thought the blog would be a good way to find the voice I want for the book.
Salty Dogs the book blog is an extension of my book Salty Dogs which will be out in stores in three weeks.

My inspiration was Eddie Izzard, who is a fantastic british stand up comedian. In one of his shows he has a skit called "Cake or Death?" that is hilarious - so from that I got Sushi or Death. You can see a video of his Cake or Death here: www.sushiordeath.com/sushi-or-death-for-the-addicted/
Any other Eddie Izzard fans here?

My Ameriplan journey blog is going to be a documentary of my ups and downs of network marketing. Also a place for my new IBO's to go for additional information from me. My "April Decheine 2006 at a glance" was the start of my journey after Corporate America through me under the bus, I had never blogged and once I got on the internet I have never looked back!
  18. sixuntilme
"Six Until Me" is the name of my blog. I was six years old when I was diagnosed with diabetes, so I had six years until diabetes came into my life. Six until me, "me" being the diabetes.

I know ... it's a bit of a leap but man has it stuck.
    1. kariknapp
I like it! And even more when explained.
  19. careysaysums
My real name is Carey Sessoms. I'm a former radio broadcaster who never really made it. Now, I write. The blog? Carey Says Ums. Check it out at careysaysums.squarespace.com

I was impressed with Eddie Izzard in 'the Riches', but haven't had the chance to see any of his shows yet.

I named my blog 'the Active Life' because it's so important to me for my family to be healthy and have good self-esteem, without exercise being a chore or without being 'obsessive' about health & fitness... so I try to sneak--er... integrate it into our lives as seamlessly as possible...

Every blog title has a lot of thought beneath it's name. Moreover the most amazing part is,when each blog's title holds a story, how amazing would be to learn what all people put in to keep adding beautiful posts to these blogs:)
  24. crpitt
Mine is 'A little piece of me' because thats all i could come up with at the time, then my blog turned into an all consuming monster and should be changed to 'a whole lot of me'

But i do hope when people visit my blog that they get a sense of what i am really like

The first time I heard the phrase "Every Man A Giant," I was being dropped off at work by my car pool. A co-worker tossed off the line as we gathered up our briefcases, a sardonic summons to greatness issued in the face of yet another drab and predictable day as government bureaucrats. And yet ...

As stupid as it sounds, that casual piece of irony stayed with me. Those words became my private rallying call, a reminder that everything should matter, that everything can be meaningful. At the end of the day, isn't that something we would all like to believe?
  26. wagerwitch
WagerWitch became a persona that I developed specifically for the gambling/casino industry that I do promotions for.

SO that became the title - since "she" is the persona.

    LOL!

    Really simple.

This thread is really old - but nice to see it brought up again.

My title is boring and generic. "The Washingtonian's Dilemma." I have yet to come up with something better. I'm a fairly new blogger so I chose it arbitrarily thinking that I would come back later and change it when I thought of something. Ha I'm not very creative or witty with titles :/ It's sad
  28. shadowmoon87
The title of my blog is self-explained so yeah, I don't any interesting story, motivation nor theory behind it.
    It's simply
Shadowmoon Papercraft & Etc. because that's exactly what the blog is about, my papercrafts and other random stuff
  29. kelvinservigon
My blog (kelvinonian.com) is titled as "Kelvinonian Ideas 2.0" The word Kelvinonian is obviously from my name, but there's a deeper story behind that--hint, from my childhood stoires. "2.0" because it is my second blog named Kelvinonian Ideas. The other one was from Blogger.
