Good question. I'm not really sure about "unique". I think the strength of my blogs is that I'm a very good writer. (Yes, saying that out loud makes me want to duck down and pull the blankets over my head, but not quite enough to take it back.)

And then, there's the issue of trying to find something distinctive, let alone unique, in a blogosphere of millions, many dealing with almost identical topics.
This was a good idea, though: and a thought-starter for serious bloggers.

well, my blog is called something to talk about and I think it's unique in the sense that it deals with things related to crafts of all kinds as well as rock music and I sometimes make posts about some stuff happening around me. For instance my recent post dealt with the construction of a bus station near a hospital in my locality.

I guess the only thing that is somewhat unique about my blog is, I wrote the blogging software it is running on - it is an ongoing project, so as I improve the software, my blog improves. Probably more exciting for me than for anyone else -

Unlike most sites about making money online, I never post affiliate links.. I also try to avoid get-paid-to sites - get paid to read e-mail, get paid to surf, etc. I only post about sites that will work long-term for people-

My character animal blog in the voice of the animals tells the on-going story of two dogs who try to peacefully coexist in the same yard, but yet are instigators of trouble in trying to get rid of the housecat.-

My latest blog is a "serialized" book about four women (a mother, adult daughter, long-term roommate, and recent roommate) who all move to the desert in SW Utah to carve out a little homestead.
I guess you can call it a "reality blog book". If you thought "The Golden Girls" were funny in the '70's, you're gonna love what we get into... oh, I'm the most recent roommate.

I'm the only blog I know of that writes about vintage/Victorian decorating using things from thrift shops.
I wanted to focus on the thrift shopping aspect because many people don't realize you can find tasteful items and even some really nice antiques if you go to thrift stores and choose carefully.
I like the idea of helping people decorate cheaply, while promoting charity organizations.-

It is a niche blog about my nursing days at St Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst Sydney Australia in 1975. Male nursing was very rare at that time. I recently attended a 150th Anniversary function for nurses that trained there. I was the first male nurse to attend one of these functions in 150 years. So that got me interested in trying to locate all the other male nurses that trained at St Vincents so we could attend the next one. Well that got me blogging in an attempt to solve this issue and to get stories from other nurses. Even if I am successful I will continue to blog about other things. It is alot of fun and you get to meet other people outside your own little world.-

Home swapping is growing in popularity a great deal (many people discovered the idea for the first time from the movie, 'The Holiday') but it is still a fairly small niche in the vast travel market. When I started the blog three years ago, no one else was blogging about home exchange (so it really was unique!) Now there are others, and quite a number of people who swap homes keep a blog record of their trips.

Instead of saying the normal "do this or that and you'll get this in return", I usually try to explain myself. I'll say "do this because of this, do that because of that... etc" And with tutorials I like explaining the behind the scenes stuff, like why this thing is required or why inserting this chunk of code will cause a certain action to occur.
In a nutshell I like explaining the reasoning behind what I say. There's not a lot of blogs out there where you can actually understand the reasoning behind what it is they are trying to tell you. -
What's unique about my blog? Eh, not a damn thing. Except that it's my blog. And that my blog is perhaps only 1% of the entire site content. It just happens to be the front page.

Unique?
In one sense, the only thing that truly sets my blogs apart is the fact that I'm their author.
On the other hand, there are unusual aspects to them:
Through One Dad's Eye is a (generally) upbeat account of life in a small town: real life, not sentimentally nostalgic, sophisticatedly sneering, or artistically angstful.
Apathetic Lemming of the North is a sort of observer's handbook of things blogish. Blast! That's what I should have called it! Since it's my "handbook," it reflects my individual tastes and interests.
Another War-on-Terror Blog may be 'more unique' than the others. Unlike commentaries on the major conflict of the 21st century that I've seen, mine isn't "political," although I've got a fairly definite point of view. That probably comes from being a historian-turned-English teacher-turned-advertising writer.
Starting a Small Business Without Losing My Mind is a business blog that doesn't act like a business blog. It lacks the hype and self-aggrandizement that I associate with such things.
Easy Griller is a strange sort of diary of a laid-back back yard griller. Not the lets-share-recipes blog that would baffle me within a post or two.
Narcissus-X is what happens when I uncover the utility shafts of my mind, and rummage around in dark corners of my brain's equipment rooms. -
I lov pink and my blog not only has a pink background but I love to find pink items from amazon and post them on my blog. i know that i could have textual links but I just really like the look i have right now.

Simply original material makes mine different. All the cartoons on my blog are my own creations. Other humour blogs may show cartoons or jokes, but they rarely seem to be produced by the blog owner.
