Every city or town large or small it is gets something good to offer: a spectacular landscape, a monument or any peculiarity which makes you proud where you come from.

    Here in my teensy town of Abita Springs, we have a pavilion that's on the national register of historic places;
    www.nps.gov/history/Nr/travel/louisiana/abi.htm
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abita_Springs
    It was damaged by Hurricane Katrina but recently restored & moved closer to the town center.
    And did I mention our brewery?

    Would it be wrong of me to say that I'm proud to be a Texan? This state offers too many things to list individually. I will say that I like the ability to go to the beach with ease and go the opposite direction and go camping and in the other direction and go hunting or fishing. So, I would say I'm very proud to live in the great state of Texas!

      I've been to Doylestown, PA. You have a lot of covered bridges if I remember correctly. And a Quaker public type market?

    I live in the outskirts of Paris, where I guess there is a lot to catch the eye. The bridges, the banks of the Seine, can't name one thing, it forms a whole.

    My hometown for the moment is Mangaldan, Pangasinan. It's still a developing town tourism-wise. But the food products are "world-class" the townspeople say. And it's true, ever heard of "Romana's Peanut Brittle"? hmm, google it =)

    What I really like about this place are the festivities beginning December. Tourists and balikbayans support the "Ugnayan Sa Pasko" which is a singing contest of amateurs. It's so popular here.

    Thanks for posting this, you just gave me an idea for another blog entry. I've always wanted to promote my hometown some more.

    I don't live in the city. If it's all up to me, I would rather live permanently in a small town:

    Here in Santa Ana, CA, we have the Discovery Center, the Bower's Museum, and the Zoo. But there is one MUST SEE. Our busses.
    1. jflower36
      What are the busses like Lynnea?
    2. LynneaUrania
      Very clean, running on liquid natural gas. It's an award-winning system. Plus, I was being facetious. Most who come to Santa Ana today can't wait to leave unless they're gang members or were smuggled in from Tijuana.

    Anyone coming to L.A. should check out Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier for the California culture.
