I'm guessing that most of you bloggers out there are dreamers. Or else why bother blogging. I was wondering what dreams you guys have. What is your dream?
I'll start. I work in real estate and own a few offline businesses. I've been getting into internet stuff recently, but that's not my dream. Working from home and making a living online would be cool, but no where close to my dream. My dream is to one day make a full feature film. Hopefully i can send it out to sundance and slamdance and maybe get picked up by an indi studio.

Awesome goal, bloggernoob! Mine is to become a published author, meaning, to get past Chapter Two and eventually see my historical fiction novel on the Best-Sellers list...besides that, never having to work for anyone else again...
-
To eventually finish the book I've been working on for years now and to see it published and on display one day.

Your book title reminds me of Sex and the City!
I know when I'm unclear on which way to go w/plot, I have to sometimes just wait for things to come into focus...the ideas are probably already there, but other issues on my mind clutter and/or suppress creativity, I guess, for a season...then suddenly I'm clear on an idea and can run with it!
Or at least clear enough to sit down and get back at it again...

my dream is simple. just finish my two year apprenticeship and go to japan or any country where i can work for at least two years, then transfer again to another country and get some new experience and so on. well, i hope my salary can make my dream come true. heheh

To own a few optical shops. Maybe even a chain and retire after I make a killing.
Then I can fully concentrate on doing what I really want to do,
which is make my own porno sex flick. In fact this one will be spectacular.
I will for the 1st time in the history of porn use real life lizard men wearing gladiator armor,
eating hot dogs, pony riding, horse riding and have our own orgy,
just like in that movie Caligula. It will be the best selling porno of all times.
I will be immortalized in porn and I will be remembered forever.-
awesome. lizzard porn ehh. I made panda porn. got like 70k hit via youtube.

I'd love to win lots of money and never have to work again, but that has nothing to do with my blogging.

It may sound silly, but I'd like to be "discovered" by the movie studios and move from reviewing DVDs in new release to reviewing new movies yet to show... I like Benny's post and it makes sense, but I also like to dream! I'd settle for dinner with Johnny Depp instead, but that's another kind of dreaming... :-)

movie buff ehh. Whats the link to you movie blog. i wanna check it out. I did an intern for KTLA when i was in college. I don't know if you know of the station or not. Anyway, Sam Ruben is the movie critic guy there, and i got to review movies and interview a few celebs while i was interning. It seems awesome, but it wasn't that great. I discovered the phoniness of hollywood first hand. But i still love movies! Maybe both our dreams can come true. Like benny said, let's go out and make it happen. Maybe you can review my movie.

b-noob, thanks for asking...'wild west' setting, sorta, 1874 is the year, setting is just outside of Fort Smith,Arkansas. The 'Starr' in my ID is for Belle Starr, the bandit queen, and my heroine is Belle's childhood friend. I'm not really sure where I'm going w/plot, that's why I'm just starting Chapter 3! Takes ALOT of research to do this right, so it's takin' ALOT of time...but doing the research is what eventually got me interested in early American history, thus my blogsite (godhistoryandyou.blogspot.com/)...but now I'm sidetracked into blogging, so the book's been on a back burner for awhile!

Honestly, I'm kind of done with all that. Once upon a time I had a list of dreams, some of which were wildly unrealistic given my circumstances, and I wrapped up the last one in my mid-thirties. Now I'm pretty content with a job that I love, great colleagues, a work-from-home arrangement that allows my house to be the place my daughter's friends congregate, my family close by, just enough money that I don't have to think about it, and a middle-school child whose first suggestion when a friend is having real problems is "maybe you should talk to my mom." Inspiration may strike again someday, but for now, I'm good.

I'm at a point right now where my dream includes:
Living a self sustaining life on a farm or farm like place with no bills, and no reliance on others for shelter, food, and energy.
Just sayin'

I dream of traveling space... outer space ... maybe that space tourism thingy get in that ship and see earth from outside, maybe saturns rings, and all other planets, the milky way...mmmm
Travel the world. Write and publish a book. Raise a better person than I am.
Living the good life.
See my face (while I am still living) on the top 100 unforgetable women of the world!
But the ultimate is a life full of love and happiness. -
I don't have a "dream" in life. I never really thought of traveling as a dream, althoug, if it was, then my dream turned reality.

I spend a lot of time volunteering in the mental health field. I wish i could make more of an impact on suicide intervention, prevention and postvention.
I am working on this though!-
I think it's important not to think too much about the impact you're making. For one thing, you never know what ripples you've set in motion, what difference one small thing might have made. For another, you're only a piece of something much bigger, and even if you can't fully see the role that your piece plays, it's adding up with the whole.

Good counsel from MadameX and Benny G. both...Darren Rowse posted a very helpful article on his site, ProBlogger, about focusing on what we have, and what we've done, not what we don't have, etc. Though it was advice on blogging, really, it covers the whole spectrum. I could get back to you w/title of post, or you could look for a post about low blogger self-image on his site. His articles really help people.

My dream is to one day be able to support myself just with writing and illustration work... Now, I just need to sell about 30,000 more books this year and that will be a reality.

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic Mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land. -
Thriving family within concentrated pockets in strategic locations
Clean air and water
Secure home with land
Enough capital for my family to be
freed from the subsistence employment trap
Make peace instead of war
Bright future so far as the mind's eye can see
