What's your favorite chocolate? Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate or White Chocolate.

How often do you buy this type of chocolate?

Here's some quality chocolate companies. Which one do you like best and why?

Ghiradelli
See's
Guitard
Ethel M
Godiva

If I missed one, please list it and where to locate it.

Thanks

I prefer Dark Chocolate - it lasts longer as I tend to eat less of it. But nothing over 80% Cocoa !

I love dark chocolate and milk chocolate equally.

I love Godiva and Ghirardelli, but for some reason, Dove chocolate tastes richer and creamier to me. I guess I'm lucky because it's a lot cheaper than the other two!

    Ghiradelli

No contest. Especially when you go and watch them make it and eat it fresh from the shop.... Wow!

Milk chocolate! Yum! Just Cadbury for me but I also like the ones you listed.

Lindt and Cadbury's (made in England).

I love dark chocolate & once had a Godiva chocolate liqueur that was to DIE for!

I like milk chocolate and dark chocolate, or something between the two. My favorite chocolate is Finnish Fazer Blue Berries. Oh that is just soo nice. As I now live in Australia and can't get anything but bloody Cadbury, I had a friend send me some. www.sebastyne.net/blog/2008/08/package-from-home/

I do enjoy a bit of Belgian chocolate every once and a while, but I do like my Fazer more.

Wow, lots of chocolate to last you for awhile. That was a nice package sent from home.

I enjoy dark chocolate and milk chocolate. It seems I somehow end up living near a chocolate factory. I lived near Ghiradelli, See's, Guitard, and now Ethel M.

I go to Trader Joe's to buy their dark chocolate and milk chocolate bars. They come in a 3 pack for $1.49 usd. It's pretty yummy stuff.

I used to buy Dove chocolate for ice cream, but cannot find it in the store locally. If anyone has seen this product in the store, please let me know what store. I might contact that store. This is a product my mom loves.

    Dark chocolate wins this smackdown.

I like Fry's cocoa for making hot chocolate. You need to add your own sugar. DIY power!

For when I'm feelin fancy, raw food cocoa bars from the health food store. Cadbury's was always an excellent grocery store line-up pick though. Especially Caramilk.

Not to get off topic, but I find desserts made with dates are a somewhat adequate chocolate substitute, nice and luscious if you're feeling too fat and disgusting for chocolate or whatever.

    British Cadbury. Just wonderful stuff!

    Godiva.

There is only one Godiva store in the whole of Africa and it is located in Johannesburg. When my husband flies up to Joburg for a meeting, there is usually a ballotin of Godiva in his briefcase when he gets home.

I was so spoiled in California! Every Macy's had a Godiva boutique!

(I get Cadbury's here and it is not as creamy as Lindt, and both of those are superior to See's and Ghirardelli, imo. But nothing beats Godiva!)

Jeff de Bruges. Belgian chocolate is the best.

chocolate... ice-cream. or brownies. those are my chocolate poison. prefer them to actual chocolate most of the time. but i'm still a chocoholic! for luxury brands, godiva. for generic brands, i love cadbury's timeout.

I really like those Belgian chocolates that are hazel nut flavoured and shaped like sea shells, Guylian I think they are called.

      Ooooooooooh...those are so RICH!

I rather like Swiss chocolate. I have a taste for the cheap kind of Swiss chocolate Toblerone.

    Hershey's milk chocolate!!

I have traveled the world, and have had chocolates that were purportedly the "best in the world", including all of the ones mentioned in the initial question. I disliked all of them compared to Hershey's.

Cadburys is good but Galaxy Milk Chocolate is my favourite
White chocolate, my favourite is Nestle Milky bar...
I haven't ever tasted any of the ones listed above, I have never come across them in the UK...
Belgium chocolate is lovely especially those ones with a cherry in but they are very rich.

We have a local chocolatier called Reubens Chocolates that makes such a fantastic product.

I love dark chocolate -- Ghirardelli is good for baking, but if I'm going to give a gift, I give Godiva.

Cote D'Or Noir du Noir is unbeatable stuff!

    the darker the better

Gimme anything and you won't get it back

Dark chocolate all the way. Lindt, 75% cocoa or higher. I've all but written off milk chocolate in favour of the gourmet-yummy-ness of DC.

There's a shoe store out here in Vegas that gives away free two piece chocolate truffles that are simply the best chocolates I've ever tasted. Melts in your mouth. The candy company is located somewhere in Ohio. The shoe company's website didn't list anything about this giveaway candy. They are located in Texas and very expensive shoes. On the candy box, it shows just the city where it came from, but no name. If anyone knows what I am talking about, please share. Thanks

Looks like the majority so far is Godiva and dark chocolate. Keep sharing. Thanks for your responses.
