I like the forsaken, queen of the damned, underworld, blade, Vampyros Lesbos, john carpenters vampires, from dusk to dawn, and not a movie, but True Blood.

      I love true blood.
  2. MadameX
The Lost Boys. Isn't that a requirement if you were a teenager in the 80s?
    1. Larissa31
Oh yeah, definitely a classic. I was a teenager then too.
    2. carsonfb
      I agree, Lost Boys FTW.

The vampire movie that still scares the livin' daylight out of me is Stephan King's "Salem's Lot".
    1. Larissa31
Hmmm, I've never seen that one. I'll look it up.
    2. carsonfb
I liked the movie (and the mini-series remake) but the book is infinitely better. If you haven't read it, I would highly recommend it.

I saw it once when I was a kid, but I haven't had the (mis)fortune of seeing the sequel.

This movie just cracks me up. It's only funny because it's so campy.

Believe it or not, this was serious movie advertising when I was growing up. This was really how they marketed movies to the black community. Same thing with "Shaft" and some of the "jap-slap" movies. Although it seems hilarious now, this movie was supposed to be scary. Times sure have changed.

      Happy Halloween Everyone!

I love Let the Right One In. That's in my top five vampire films of all time...
    2. brianomaracroft
It's a good one...not for all tastes, and a little more cerebral than action-packed...all the more reason to like it, in my books
  5. NJFacePainter
Lost Boys, Nosferatu, Once Bitten, My Best Friend's a Vampire, any of the Christopher Lee or Bela Lugosi movies, Wes Craven's Vampires, Bram Stoker's Dracula (with Gary Oldman)... I'm a vampire fiend.

And also a Larissa! My other account is LarissaEsq!

As far as movies go, I'm going to take it back to the 80's also and say The Lost Boys, and then even before that I'd have to say Dracula (1979). They used to play it every halloween night on the ASN channel for years. Haven't seen it in a long time.

As far as TV shows, definately True Blood
  10. ArsenicCookies
    Bram Stokers Dracula
  11. nothingprofound
    Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
  12. scifigene
Let The Right One In (and many of the above choices too)
There are also some good vampire moments in Night Watch and Day Watch.
