So, being new to blogging, this is all shiny and buzzing and exciting for me. Going through my (really) old diary I found the entry below. Although I haven't given it a second thought in years, it appears I do live by the principles now.
On 30 June 1994(!), I wrote:
"This will be my life philosophy:
1. In life, there is always a choice; even in an imposed environment. We just have to look for the avenues.
2. Never give yourself a chance to regret. Seize each and every opportunity.
3. Always ask: Is the price worth paying? Get out when it's too high."
It would be fascinating to see what others' life philosophies are.

I prescribe to Dudeism
"The idea is this: Life is short and complicated and nobody knows what to do about it. So don't do anything about it. Just take it easy, man. Stop worrying so much whether you'll make it into the finals. Kick back with some friends and some oat soda and whether you roll strikes or gutters, do your best to be true to yourself and others - that is to say, abide." -
Do unto others as I would have them do unto myself.
Also - to be ME - no matter what the cost.
AND last but most important - TRY TO SEE EVERYONE'S POINT OF VIEW.
To remain logical at all times.-
"Do unto others as I would have them do unto myself."
I have a rule a little like this one, only mine says, "love thy neighbor AS thyself." Key difference: sometimes you have to be hard on someone, and giving someone ease may be the worse thing you could do to them. Also, sometimes the worse thing you can do to others is not stand up for someone who is being hurt by someone else. Further, there is also the matter of dignity and respect, something that "do unto" doesn't really address, and the matter of self-love.

My life philosophy is: Take advantage of others, expose their weaknesses, and crush them like the ants they are. Climb to the top. Step on as many faces as you have to and then... become a philanthropist, donate to the poor, and be hailed as a saint.

Life is too vast to be watered down to one explanation. Life means different things at different times. Life changes every second. There isn't one philosophy of life, there is one for every second of every single living organisms existence.

This is not my life philosophy, because I do not have one,( except life is beautiful if this can be considered as a philosophy), but an important precept for me:
One of our greatest weakness is possession, so keep away from this, because the more you possess, the more you need, and the more you fear to loose, and the less you are willing to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. -
Do not look upon kindness as a weakness. Rather see it for the great strength of character it builds. Be kind and everything will be right. Pass this along.
I heard a sermon today that tells us to be what you were intended to be. RIse to the occasion and bloom into the spectacular person you really are. To be uplifting to others, one must first lift themselves up and into a higher conscientiousness.
