      When did the Mustang become considered a sports car? Muscle car, maybe, but sports car??

      Yup, it's a muscle car, all right. It's too big to be a sports car.
      
      I've owned two Mustangs and (I'm an old broad) used to date a guy who had a brand new 69 Mustang Mach I Boss 429. Trust me...Mustangs, Like my '70 Charger, are muscle cars.
      
      Sports cars: Lotus Elan, Triumph TR 4, 5, 6 (and the lame 7 and 8), Honda S2000, MGB, Austin Healy 3000, MG TD and TC, Chevy Corvette (arguable), etc., etc.
      
      Muscle cars: Mustang Boss 429, GT500; Dodge Charger, Road Runner; Plymouth Barracuda; Chevy Nova SS, etc. etc.
      
      Then there's the "super car" category, but they don't interest me that much...where would I drive a Veyron or that Swedish thing with a name longer than I am tall? I would enjoy having my TR-6 back, or my uncle's Austin Healy 3000, but I'm very happy with my husband's S2000.
