When did you get your first gray hair?

For those of you who are a little older, how old were you when you got your first gray hair?
I'm 31 and haven't seen any gray hair yet. I read that some people start turning gray in high school and others people don't start until they are in their 40's.

Okay, I couldn't resist joining in on this discussion. I'm proud to say that I am 52 and I don't have any gray hairs yet! I also don't dye my hair either so I'm one of the few that still has her natural hair color. But, my sister-in-law is in her late 40's and she started getting gray in her late 20's. Never have understood that!-
You're kidding! 52 and no grey hair...that is unbelievable. My grandmother was half native american and was only partially grey when she died in her 70's.

I have a friend in her 50's and not one grey either.. Beautiful brunette!

Lol...I was estimating based on when my mom started seeing greys.
We can ALWAYS pick, if we pick a nice reliable rinse!!

When my oldest kid turned 16. -

My maternal grandfather had a full head of bright carrot colored hair in his late 60's

Sometime in my 20's, not quite sure when. I still don't have many grey hairs (at 33), but I have a swath just off-center in my beard and mustache. Not sure what that's about. -
I think I was 17 when I found my first grey..

As was I. I figure that the rest of them don't count as signs of age, since they started showing up so early. I had a fair amount by the time I graduated from college.

i'm 22 and had been dying my hair since i was 16 (i'm not dying it now for obvious reasons)
when i found out it was going to fall out, i buzzed it all off... when all the color was buzzed off and all that was left were my natural colored roots, i was shocked to find that i'm about 30% grey! my dad was completely grey by 30, so i'm guessing i'm following in his footsteps! i'm curious to see how much more there is when it comes back in! -
I found my first grey hair in the middle of a final exam for a graduate school class on form and analysis of pre-Baroque music. I was 35.
