Well, I had started a blog along time ago, mainly a place to get ideas out - but I never used it, and didn't go anywhere with it.
Then I started again in August of '07 again to get my ideas out, to write, and hopefully create a place where people can come and look for answers regarding politics and ideologies.
It's turned into quite a project, and I've slowed down a lot compared to when I started, but it has become a sounding board, a ranting place, a place to write seriously, and a spring board for larger projects. -
I had my first blog in 2000 or 2001, but I didn't really get into it until very recently, May this year I think. I had a traditional website way before that though, since 1998, and I got into that as I am interested in many things, and I could display most of those things on my website. (Later I got more interested about the websites and the functionalities than the content to be honest... :D)

I started 6 months ago
A - To see if I could
B - I love food blogs and I wanted to start one
C - To see if I could earn income
Once I started though, I became hooked and passionate about it. -
I started blogging in the third week of September-ish, as I began working on a blog for my college as well, so thought it would be a good idea to do something similar for myself. I also want experience at writing and in particular writing about music, which is the primary purpose of my blog.
It is starting to seep into my mind now, whenever I listen to an album I begin to analyse it and form a mental post, very sad I know.

When I first became unemployed and had way too much time on my hands. It's something I always wanted to do, but it was alwasy such a daunting task.

I started something LIKE blogging on my website back in 2001, for no reason other than that I often had things to say that didn't fit anywhere else. I called it "The Odd Word from Tiffany". When I first started my blogspot blog, it was purely for SEO purposes related to my website. Ironically, seven years later, that blog endures and I've added five others, but the website is long gone.

Juanuary 11, 2007. I was bored, and I already had the (Live Spaces) account, so I just started writing. My blog didn't get any traffic, so I moved it to WordPress.com earlier this year.

I began as an avid fan of short stories. Not really the high-fallutin' earthshaking nobel-prize caliber stories but simple tales from simple folks. Little did I realize that it was the beginning of my own blogging life as a short-story writer. Well, I only started last july and I am dedicating my blog to my personal short stories. It's an outlet for all the experiences that I wish to share to the world.

I started blogging about a month ago, somewhat by accident. I made my first website to showcase my design work to prospective clients, but learning to hand code my first web site via books and trial-and-error was making me tear my hair out, and updating it by hand was just painful. I'm glad I took the time to learn some html/css stuff, but I'm also glad I found wordpress.
Once I started the blog, I got a little hooked on updating, posting, and having conversations with people about my work.
You can see what I'm up to at www.annstorer.com if you like.

I started blogging after a relationship fell apart.
Slowly I became very fond of blogging and it helped me on the path to becoming the person I wanted to be.

end of 2004, just because it was the cool thing to do. i had it for 3 years, then i quit. i let it sit for a while and then took it offline. i started a new one here a few months ago for a place to babble to no one in particular and since i tend to talk a lot, it keeps me from annoying the actual people around me :). maybe one day i'll continue where i left off on my original one. but for now it's better left alone.

June. It seemed like both a way to create a "web presence" which people were telling me freelance writers need to do, and a personal outlet.

Since then, it's kinda taken on a life of its own...or taken over my life...or something.... -
Work and conflicting schedules made it harder for me to hang with friends that recognize my awesomeness, so I started posting my brilliance to remove the physical boundaries of getting to know me.
Wrote a goofy story about the start of my site: dadominion.com/blog/2008/09/23/the-centennial-story-of-the-source/
A cautionary tale for all new bloggers - new being younger than my ripe old six months
