   When I add friends it is for bookmarking purposes and I can browse my list and check in with them now and again when I have a chance (usually add those whose blogs interest me or I like them).

   I usually check out their profile and blog. If it looks like something I'd be into, I go ahead and add them as well.

      Same here. If it's something I'm particularly interested in, or they have a really outstanding blog, I'll shout out to them. If it's not something that I'm interested in, in another language (what's the point), or just photos of celebrities or half naked girls, I won't add them.

      That's my approach, as well. I have bookmarks and favorites in enough places that adding people whose work I don't care to visit regularly will just make it harder to find the ones in which I am interested.

   I usually add back cuz i want to be seen on here and people on here to visit my site and tell me what they think/join my neighborhood. i think its good visibility and the more people see you and your blog the better.

   If someone adds me, I add them. I visit their blog and if their subscribe button is easy to find, I subscribe. I go to my google reader every couple of days and scan through all the posts that interest me.

    I add those as friend who added me and if their blogs are interesting, than i add these blogs also als neighborhood or something like that :-)

    I never add folks unless they actually do share life with me via my blog or BC threads.
