I had seen this in an ad and have always remembered this line.
This is important because we get used to our normal life and don't try anything new frequently..
It is important to keep on doing something new, something we haven't ever done before in our life because it means we are constantly learning.
So when was the last time you did something for the first time???

I for example cooked for the first time a major food item 2 days ago, something I had not done before.
I only made tea and instant food etc before but never a major food item as such.

...good question I honestly can't think of anything right now.

Thanks...At least you became aware of this fact. I never lose an opportunity to do something new when it presents itself because I remember this question....

    Today!

I am a Trout Flyfisherman, but I am heading to New Orleans for X-Mas and needed to tie flies for Redfish.

Never tied a Redfish Fly before, I have now, tied up 12 today and will tie up another 30 before I leave

Exactly one month ago I attended a Hindu wedding for the first time...my own. A very memorable (and bloggable) experience!

You looked beautiful. I loved the photos and your descriptions were so comprehensive that any questions I had were cleared up in the next sentence that I read.

Thank you...now that I have a little distance from it, it was a truly memorable experience. But at the time it was exhausting and nerve-wracking!

I read you blog, really wonderful! Since I live in India, I have only seen Hindu weddings but even I didnot know the significance or meaning of all the rituals you mentioned. Wonderful post!

Thank you, Achyut. I did a lot of research and asked the aunties a lot of questions to get all that significance and meaning.

I am an American and my tradition is long white dresses in the church. This was very different for me, but utterly fascinating. My husband is Hindu and it was important that he be married in his traditions...we were married five years ago in mine.
