I'm sure that many of you have heard about the recent release of new iPods, and I was wondering when many of you are going to be purchasing your iPods (if you are planning to get one.) As for me, I am going to get the 80GB iPod classic sometime around November or December.

Why ? I don`t need it. I rememeber when I had had my mobile for 3 years or so and then went to the USA and saw how many people used pagers. BTW, do you still have them ?

The reason i need a new one is that the iPod i currently own is the 2nd generation one, and that is now pretty bad. the battery's beginning the run out faster and faster, and my library is becoming too large for the storage i have now.

I use a external battery that help main battery charge to full from belkin I think
  8. AppleMan
But see the problem is that the rechargeale battery is deteriorating and runs out in 2 or 3 hours instead of 10 when it was new.

Yes this is a common bug and made that way so you buy a new ipod or go get a new battery.however once your ipod is fully charge use the external battery that give you 10 hours on external seldom use internal

I should confess to you I have no idea on what "ipod" is.
lafrance mentioned something about the costs that differ in different countries. That inspires some emotions, but the problem is out talking about the cost of batteries meanwhile the main value is our communication. What for can we use the "ipods"? Can they change our need to stay in touch with one other? Can the mechanics be more desirable than the alive whispering?

iPods are nothing more than the center of my digital universe. they hold all of my songs, videos, photos, games, documents, and more. I go almost everywhere with it.

I'm still happy with my Civil War era 20 gig iPod.

I guess you could call me a techno geek- i want the latest gadget! however, i'm a little more careful with software. i'll usually wait a year before upgrading my operating systems.

I wont be getting a NEW ipod, I don't have an old one. I've never seen one close up even. I avoid gadgetry like the plague.

I prefer to hum/sing or whistle for extertainment when I'm out
