WHERE ARE MY THREADS??????

Topics: wtf!!!!!!??????????????????????
This is the 2nd time in less than 72 hours that my threads are being deleted. Threads that are not offensive that most people in the community enjoyed and took part in. We didn't swear and I feel like this is unfair. My latest thread "ASK LOLITA THE SEXPERT" disappeared as i clicked on it.
I understand that the topic of my blog and most of my threads SEX makes a lot of people uncomfortable and that is their issue to deal with. I shouldn't have to pay for others' views. I talk about something that most of us deal with on a daily basis and if my presence here is a bother or if my input in this community i consider myself a member and love dearly bothers someone i suggest they let me know or leave BC.
This is unfair and I feel like I am being targeted. I want to talk about sex and until it becomes illegal to do so here, I will keep going.
To whoever deleted my thread, I'd like it to be returned or an explanation provided (since i joined BC +4 of my threads were deleted for no reason!) and I would appreciate anyone who would point out the persons I need to talk to!

My thread has also been removed. Timethief reported it as we're not allowed to speak about sex on a family friendly blog.
-
- Yes, I reported the sex threads and I told you that in PMs in your shoutboxes (aspotofblog and lolitav). Go look and see. I tried to give you a heads up!
The reason I reported them to Admin because BC is financed by advertising, as opposed to making us members pay to be here. The contracts have specific terms. Go and see what the Google ads contracts state. Sites with Google ads may not include or link to: Pornography, adult or mature content.
Click this link:
www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=48182
Then click the link under "content guidelines" and read what is states.

This is whassup:
Google will yank all their adverts from BC if they allow that (sex) content on here. It's against Google's TOS.
So, my guess is that management needs to be able to support causes like Holly the Housewife's so they don't want their Google ads lifted, okay?
I'm just explaining how things work.-
right but threads like hers where she calls me sorry son of a bitch and threads about 3 words after sex can remain???? how f*cking unfair!! I want to know who i can talk to here in BC to get an explanation Because I feel robbed!! what was wrong with that thread?? i let the others go because it's just threads, but this is the dropped that sank the ship for me.
@DB well they point me to the free sites so what's their problem.

I don't understand why sex is so taboo. It is the most common everyday occurrence you could ever get. Everyone's having it. Hell, none of us would be here if it weren't for sex!
-
Doesnt seem fair really - as I said its not intended as smut but rather just a discussion on the topic of sex
-

Yes, my thread was for the purposes of a future blog post. I just needed to hear from other females if they can orgasm through sex, because some women can't.
-
I cant see how it would be offensive to underagers either - it was simply informative, no different to what they would hear about in sex-ed.
-
What it all boils down to is that if we were to deleted every thread that was offensive to someone, we'd have nothing left to talk about.
And to delete without warning or reason is unfair -
You know, one thing I hate is judgmental 'holier than thou' people. They suck the joy out of everything. I have the attitude of 'live and let live'. Why can't other people do the same?
-
Question: Do you think that the explicit titles may be the reason, rather than the content? Perhaps admin would rather not have those show up in their "Top Discussions" feed on the main page (and on their Twitter feed), lest porn spammers and less-scrupulous people get the idea that the point of the site is to talk nasty to each other. (I'm not passing judgment on the threads, I didn't enter either of them because I don't discuss my sex life with anyone but hubby. That said, It doesn't bother me when others discuss theirs, as long as it isn't in a bragging or in-your-face way.)
-
the title wasn't explicit. ASK LOLITA is not explicit 3 WORDS AFTER SEX, SEX, SEX(, etc... are though. And this isn't about talking about someone's sex life and no one was bragging about a damn thing (that's what blogs are for). we were talking and answering each others' questions. So imo there is no reason the thread is gone. I never complained in the past and always say that threads are just threads but this is quite unfair and uncalled for!!!!

@Lolita: I checked the TOS and found this section:
# Content/Activity Prohibited. The following is a partial list of the kind of Content that is illegal or prohibited to post on or through the BlogCatalog Services. BlogCatalog.com reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in BlogCatalog.com's sole discretion, violates this provision, including without limitation, removing the offending communication from the BlogCatalog Services and terminating the Membership of such violators.
Prohibited Content includes, but is not limited to Content that, in the sole discretion of BlogCatalog.com:
1. is patently offensive and promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
2. harasses or advocates harassment of another person;
3. exploits people in a sexual or violent manner;
4. contains nudity, violence, or offensive subject matter or contains a link to an adult website;
Didn't you post a link to that fleshtones site? Maybe that's what did it? -
@Lolita,
We all love you here on BC and I for one find you delightful on these discussions.
We really don't care if you are talking about sex on here. Foul language is only removed when directed towards someone.
The problem with your previous thread was that you dropped a few links to promote your blog.
You can not do that in the discussions. You can however join Groups that have been set up for exchange and link requests at www.blogcatalog.com/groups/popular/
Links
You can link to your blog or another website, however it needs to be as a reference, not as the primary purpose of the post.
The best way to determine if your thread or post is going to be removed is ask yourself the question, "is this post or thread primarily designed to get clicks to my site?" If the answer is yes, then there is a very good chance that your post will be removed.
Now, if there has been other threads that were not removed for the same thing, please know there are 100's of threads going on at the same time. Our goal is to get to them all at the same time and working to correct that. -

You say that "You can link to your blog or another website, however it needs to be as a reference, not as the primary purpose of the post."
In fact the 2 links to my blog were used jokingly as references showing that since i posted two sex/relationship advice posts in my blog, I am now a (self) qualified sexpert.
so I guess my thread didn't violate anything?
Please Angie if it's not deleted permanently, i ask that you read what I wrote in the thread and if you could post it here, I'd appreciate it. I try hard to abide by rules and be fair, kind and nice to everyone and today i feel like I am being treated unfairly. My thread broke no rules I can see.
And I have never, ever posted anything on here to get clicks to my blog without properly labeling them as SBP. The main reason I am here is to talk while at work bored to death. I don't care about blog promotion because in the end, my blog has already given me what I was after. -
Lolita,
I have to run as I am late. On my way to the airport to pick up my dauther. I will be happy to talk to you about it on the phone and then update everyone else here a little later in detail.
THis is not a cop out, just a really need to go for now.
Im leaving my cell# in your shout. Please call me or leave me your number so I can call you.
Speak to you soon?

One bit of advice, don't depend on others to explain why a thread was deleted or locked ask Admin directly, a lot of assumptions go on and most of the time it's not what some people think is the reason
-
Google will ban blogcatalog from displaying their ads if the site contains sexually explicit content. Since the site is primarily ad supported we cannot have blogs or language on here that is too graphic.
-
@LOLITA, I checked the post of yours that was removed and the reason it was removed had nothing to do with porn. It was removed because it contained links to your site and wasn't created for the purposes of a discussion on here.
-
i totally disagree that it wasn't meant for a discussion here. Can you please copy and paste here what i wrote to start the thread? i showed those links as my credentials mainly as a joke. "saying that since i wrote 2 advice posts on my blog then i am a sexpert, so ask me questions"
if my thread was removed because of google tos, fine but if it's because i linked dropped then i don't agree!

@LolitaV,
YOU ARE VERY SWEET and enjoyed speaking to you.
4 the rest of you, we have decided that she's going to start a new thread only perhaps rewording it a bit differently as well as leaving a few links out that were not intended for the discussion.
So look for the new coming soon thread by LolitaV.

lol NP I hope this doesn't come off as sentimental or something BUT you are one of the people I respect the most in BC and all the while I was "pissed" in the back of my mind, i was thinking about your wise words, lol!! So you didn't say nothing yet i still heard you. and you wouldn't have been insensitive. It is in your nature to be honest.
I hope your wife doesn't mind me saying this but I have a mind crush on your mind

I want to say something.
First TT was in the right in reporting the thread. She's very up and up on what is right and what is wrong as far as the advertising and the TOS stuff... So please - please don't take it personally.
She isn't like: OOOOOH that thread is too nasty - I can't stand it - ick yuck get it out of here... More like: that's gonna cause problems so let's take care of it now... And let me be honest and tell you why - and let you know that I did it.
I think that takes commendable effort and extreme care.
NOW...
Angie and Tony...
I want to thank you for taking the time to work with us Bloggers.
For actually listening and taking the time to check into threads or questions and being willing to deal or bargain with us on some things.
That makes it a working situation for everyone - and that's the best of both worlds.
So thanks for making this a decent community.
And Lols lady - I wuuuuuuuuv you!
(And I think your sexy stuff is HOT HOT HOT!!!)
