Don't put the actual links, but are you a member of any other forums?

What is the theme of the forum (ie. a band, a locality, a cause)?

What do you like/dislike about them as opposed to good ole BC?

2 other forums one about homsteading and the other about food. I like them because I can learn stuff. I hate them because some of the poeple in one of them suck. They have a God complex.

a snowboard forum, and a fitness forum. Great communities on both (all three, minus a few)

a food forum...but those people are uptight so I don't hang out there much.

    Where else? Shame on you!

    Twitter and charity powerwalk forum.

Twitter is as random as I, it can just be used for my stream of conciousness or engaging with the interesting folks on there.

Powerwalk forum from recent charity powerwalk was and is a valuable resource in my powerwalk training.

BC is the first and only real forum I have ever used consistently so it just feels like my own playground.

I was curious because I'm in the process of joining a new forum and compared to here it feels like a real graveyard! People post regularly...but not every few seconds so it's kind of eerie...like I'm wandering through a ghost-forum...

Most forums are like that. Plus they have clunky interfaces. Not streamlined and easy to use like BC.
    3. crpitt
It is hard to get use to, I have been spoilt with immediate (ish) answers on here.
    4. Epicharis
Yeah...I was really shocked to see discussions that were started in 2006 and had 8 responses several months apart!
    5. crpitt
Erm what type of forum is it?
    6. Epicharis
It is a rather exclusive forum that takes quite a lot of convincing to get into, so I;m not surprised really...just a bit weirded out! I think I'll have to shake it up!

Facebook, Twitter. But BC is the only discussion forum.
    1. gtally
      ditto.

I post on the Red Sox forum sometimes (not much anymore). And of course, I teach classes online so I post to the discussion boards in my classes (and those are some GREAT discussions--truly).

I haven't found a blog networking site that I enjoy as much as BC. I've tried several--but they all come up short compared to BC.

      We love you too Melinda!

Now that you're back and Siuil is back, it seems much more lively around here!

      You too, gtally!

Aw geez, ST! Yer gonna make me blush, damnit!

(I missed you guys too--but it was good to be away from my computer for a change up in Maine).
    3. crpitt
Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that bollocks
    4. Stillthinking
Oh geez, using a poor excuse like having a life. *snort*
    5. melindaville
It's true. I actually think of you guys when I'm not here. You all have inspired me greatly over the past year.

I completely missed my blogiversary post, which I will create when I catch up on the 250+ emails in my inbox. Melindaville is 1 year old July 3rd.

BC helped Melindaville through some tough early teething. I'll never forget the forum and even have an acknowledgement to BC in my book!

That is nice to know melindy

Lately I have been connecting to an orgonite/gifting forum; it is almost as international as the BC forum.

I obviously love twitter, but I am also a member of sgp,no we won't,a couple of music forums, and a whole lot of "networking" sites, but those get on my last nerve because of how shallow some of those people can be

Just here, but I spend some time looking at stuff via Reddit and upvoting/downvoting comments. I also comment on the subject (article, image, etc.), but don't actively participate in discussions.

    I am a Sweet Tweeter.

there are other forums out there?
    1. timethief
Yes, indeed there are many other blogging forums. BC is different in that most blogger's forums are focused on blogging. This General Discussion forum is primarily a social forum, and we also have a Political Issues forum.

Just here. I joined Twitter, but have never used it. It seemed way too complicated for me. I do contribute aphorisms to a couple of online aphorism sites.
  15. janizarzagon
    I'd rather stay in BC.
