Does anyone know of a good web site where I can grab photos/graphics for free?

I will link back to the original artist site.

www.google.com choose pictures in find. It's a very good source of photos. If you acknowledge the source, you'll be fine!!

Thats a slight misconception. Most places that come up in your Google images search have a very specific way to ask for permission and how you use their pictures. You have to do a lot of research before using the pictures that come up in those searches if you do not want to have copyright issues.

You might find pictures in Google, but that doesn't mean they're free to use. Far from it!

Personally I would check out www.deviantart.com Most people will let you use their art if you ask for permission. I know I would, mine is at cameronsphoto.deviantart.com But yeah, I don't know if there would be anything there you would want.

I only use my own photos in my photo and tech blog and I don't quite know how to protect my images from people using them though I use the default setting in Flickr for copyright

    hintheman.blogspot.com
    techtheman.blogspot.com

Pinyo, if you can't find the free photo to use in your blog, you can give me a shout-to-shout for pictures you find appropriate in my flickr photoset

    flickr.com/photos/hin_man/sets

to use in your blog, all I ask will be mentioning with print for 'photo from Hin" with link back to either my tech or photo blog.

A great way to protect your pictures is to water mark them with your name or a signature. Also a very simple protection is setting up a redirect so if someone tries to hotlink to your picture they get a small picture that says stop stealing my pictures! Both work, if you are really worried about it you can get underlying technologies that watermark digitally but those usually cost more money.

Hey those are beautiful pics. I will have to take a look when I have more time.

By the way, I am looking for money, finance, investing related photos.

I would just use the search feature on deviantart I just looked quick and found three or four pictures that would work quite well. So like I said, check that out and talk with the artist quick and most likely they will let you use them.

Wikimedia Commons has stuff you can use, but I'm not sure if that would include for profit.
