The first link is really helpful because it sort of eases you into the whole editing thing. No cumbersome words there and the author has a good command of pace.

Quick ways to learn is through Web editor like Dreamweaver and MS Frontpage ....

These editors have two mode:
one is design mode and one is code mode

Whatever you do or type on the design mode, you will get the html code on the code mode.

How about an online class? Search for "online HTML class", there are several schools and universities that offer HTML training (paid and free). You'll learn HTML and get college credit or CEUs to boot.
