Hi I am looking for some help from you wise folk at BC who have been through all different sorts of ad programs.

I am currently with Google adsense and it's doing alright and I'm happy with it, however is there anything better out there? If not maybe you could share some optimisation tips for my adsense units?

Thanks for any insight you could give.

Yeh I was going to go with adbrite, how do you find there ad targeting for content works compared with adsense?

At the moment most of my adsense ads are fixated on hydrogen and hybrid cars since I wrote a post about a new type of hybrid car a few days ago. Even though I have written posts since then, it still seems to be fixated on this issue of hybrid cars on my front page.

Actually I have noticed a problem I am having with adSense. I put up a new blog entry and I notice straight away the ads couldnt be more perfect. I recently put up a post about new technology in body armour and right next to it was a beautiful big image ad from this body armour company. and below in my square box ad(mental block on dimensions) was all about body armour.

I come back in 5-10 minutes and theres a big ugly ebay ad, I then refreshed and theres some other generic ad. Why does it change?

go to adsense competitive ad filter and filter ads from ebay.com.

that should help you get rid of ALL ads coming from the ebay.com domain. i hate ebay ads, I don't think they really monetize very well, in addition to yahoo, shopping, shopzilla, etc...

Thanks for the reply Pashing, I just figured that out about 6 hours ago, I tried banning that myspace jobs ad by adding myspace.com to the competitive ad filter but its still there.

Try out Project Wonderful my blog is not a real traffic hub but I get ads and get paid much more than adsense and adbrite has done for me No pay per click and pay per impressions it's the advertisers that will go look for your blog and place their ads and pay the amount you set the highest bidder gets the spot.

earthlinggorgeous, In my experience, though projectwonderful is a better revenue generator than many other ad networks for small websites, it cannot cope up with adsense on a blog that gets atleast 1 or 2 adsense clicks a day.
