I'm on blogspot now and feel from what I've read that wordpress is more user friendly and has better features. How hard is it to change to wordpress I wonder?

Found some useful info on that - ourtimes.wordpress.com/2008/05/08/import-blogger-into-wordpress/
The same method exists for self-hosted WordPress (although haven't tested it personally).

I started with wordpress and godaddy's QuickBlog but i think blogger is much easier to use and while free it also does not restrict the use of scripts. That's why I like it much better.

Like most bloggers I began on a free hosted blogging platform. In contrast to those who wish to make an income from blogging – I had no such agenda. I began blogging on Blogger software and found it easy to use, but when I decided to try WordPress.com I found there were remarkable contrasts between the software, the features, and the availability of support. Today there’s no doubt in my mind that free hosted WordPress software is superior in every way. It was called "Blurty", it was high school my name was "purpleknot". I moved over to dead journal and live journal shortly after strting it due to stalking but that was my first experience with an online journal.
I think there is still a Blurty, yup.
