Which do you like better Facebook or Myspace?

I am trying to determine which social network would be best for retailers to have a presence on. Which site do you use or prefer and why? Do you watch the myspace videos/movie trailers? Have you joined many "fan pages" on facebook?

Wow...2 hours on here and nobody has an opinion on social networking sites??!!!
My vote: I like Facebook, but it should allow design of personal profiles.
For retailers: Myspace has a better advertising platform -
I prefer Twitter cuz im a slave to trends lol.. I dont really go on either one right now. I loved loved loved myspace back in the day but now its nothin but "spam-space", facebook was coo but it was kinda boring, i loved the fact that myspace let you design your page and stuff. But right now I dont care for either one.

I think Facebook is a better way to gain readers in terms of using the "Networked Blogged" applications, which can post to folks' pages. It's also better on a personal level for staying connected and communicating, commenting on photos, sharing links, etc. However, myspace is more fun and flexible in terms of coding and customization.

Oh I do headlines too, by doing a "Link Attach" share to the more popular posts. But you can't beat people to death with constant posts that way every day. Working to gather followers yields more interested readers, and they tend to make more comments.
All I know is, I've used it for a month now and already have 33 followers there... some are complete strangers. I also put a Facebook button ON my blog, and people who like FB have clicked on it and sent messages, friend requests, etc. Every chance at gaining audience is welcome!
So far the best "friend request" that came my way was a teacher in who said she and her entire summer-school class were following my blog. WOW! So I sent them a pack of space stuff, LOL...

For a retailer, I'm not sure either one is great. MySpace has indeed turned into SpamSpace. Anyone on there trying to promote themselves just add as many people they possibly can as friends to get a big following, but it's pretty transparent and just seems shallow and cheap. The people you add out of nowhere are not going to care about your stuff anyway since they know you only added them to get more friends in the list.
Facebook is better if you have a lot of friends to begin with since it's more flexible in regards to communication with your friends, but if you have 0 following to start with, you'd better have a seriously kick-ass product for anyone to notice or care. Facebook is quite limited that way. The things you post in your profile are only seen by your friends, so if you have none, you can post until you turn green and nobody will ever hear about it anyway.
I'd say set up your own website, promote creatively with twitter and get on eBay. -
Facebook. Witihn three days I've managed to get 23 of my friends to follow my blog on networked blogs. I'm not sure if I'm right on this one, but the problem with notes app is that people don't actually need to go your blog, thus no clicks. I did get on Twitter just today in order to promote the blog further. And hey, go have look.

In a non-blog promotional sense, I Love Facebook. Myspace has become too available to people and spammy. I find the customizable screens to be a nuisance because i don't want to see 800 fricken graphic just to post a comment on a friend's space. Facebook divides up that stuff and makes it much easier to find what your looking for.

THANK YOU!! Everyone that has posted comments so far!! It looks like facebook is winning by a landslide, however, I am still waiting for my Google analytics to update to tell me exactly how much traffic I saw from each today. It also appears that I should have allowed for twitter in the category as on my blog, and here, there have been quite a few twitter comments.
Please keep voting...either here or on my blog...OR BOTH!!
