I've only been up for a week, but already received 10 visitors from google (this is less than 10% of my traffic source. Main one is BC).

Parabunny..interesting keywords..dumbledore of all people -
I get traffic on an unbelievably wide range of terms, none of which I've optimized for--so many that I actually started a fifth blog that just answers questions I've found in my search traffic (but that only scratches the surface, because I only use strings that are in question form). Like Parabunny said, though, I'm sure that the vast majority of people have NOT found what they're looking for, on all except my Catholic blog. I get a lot of search traffic there on specific stations of the cross and on Catholic marriage and divorce terms. On my other blogs, it's "What's Wrong with Cinderella" and "pay/half stores" and "spongebob problems" and "cab drivers" and...errmm...a surprising number of people looking for help with their dogs' submissive urination problems. -

I really enjoy reading and writing about results from searches. It's a little peak into psyche of readers and some of them are pretty amusing. Good question (if I got the question right).-

Most of my traffic is from work-at-home sites, rather than google searches, only get a few from google, like medical transcription pay per line, and recently medical transcription running out of work (not), and medical transcription encryption. -
These keywords also give us a hint about what to write sometimes..T

But which of those keywords are profitable? Not all traffic is the same. When I run a PPC campaign, soon as I figure out which keywords/phrases are generating sales I stop bidding on the ones bringing tire kickers. -
I really only have a top 3:
1.) North American Union
2.) Starbucks
3.) Tim Hortons-
now now, there's no such thing as a North American Union, according to Alan Colmes, Dick Cheney and President Bush.

Here's a question about keywords. As I understand it a keyword can also be a phrase. It can be "hot photo editor online" or it can be each of those words separately. So which is better when you add keywords to your blog? Should you break all the phrases down or leave the words together?

When you optimize a page for "hot photo editor online" you're automatically going to be covering "hot photo editor" and "photo editor" and "photo editor online" because those terms are wholly contained within the longer phrase.

Thanks for the information. So why do they always say put commas between a word or words? Why not just have a list of words with spaces in between them that is fifty or one hundred words long?

Web site (not Blog) has been on Page 1, Google, under hi-traffic, Legal Thriller, for the past 10 months. Surprisingly little traffic, except for 1 week in August when I climbed to #3, behind only 2 Wikipedia entries. Big burst of traffic that week.
