Do you find it easier to write something base on real events or total fiction?

Personally, I find it easier to write from real life.

I agree. Even when I write fiction, it's usually based on something that happened...just twisted.

No matter how true to life you try to be it all winds up being fiction in the end.

I misture both, sometimes it's half real, half fiction

completely fictional.. but sometimes it's a good idea to base characters on the people you know.
It's sort of like my life has a fantastic cast, but I don't know the plot.. so i tend to keep the character's and make up the plot

Easier to write based on real events I think. Even fiction is often based from if not at least heavily influenced by reality.

i use real life for my writing and sometimes try to tie it to something i've read recently.

it's a toss up, my blog is my real life (sadly) but the quality of that writing is very much like an email to a friend, but my fiction is well written and beautiful. So it's easy to do both, it's just a quality difference I guess

Real details and senses to give it place and flavor...
Fictionalized plot because quite often real life doesn't give us the most satisfying endings to things.

I blog about real life. I find there is a large audience of people who are going through similar situations, and it allows for people to identify with you.

Remember when your mom walked into the kitchen and found the broken glass in the sink? The story you told her about what happened was fiction.

complete fiction! Whenever I try to write non-fiction I bore *myself* and usually find it head wrecking and horrendous

It's difficult to create a complete fiction 4 me..

Mine is a combination of fict and faction.

I'm lazy, so I avoid fiction as it's more difficult for me.

I never wrote fiction so I do not know.

Writing from my own experience is very fulfilling.

I think it would be great to write fiction someday but that's not something I'm into now.

Writing about real life is easier but sometimes I feel like I have be really open with myself to truly tell the story and when you begin to tell personal information you rather the audience thinks that its fiction
