I have an Acer Aspire loaded with windows XP media center edition and I like it.

I have a Sony Vaio with Windows XP. I had about a dozen sales people trying to push Vista on me, but I stood firm and said "NO! Get your buggy, MAC wanna be platform away from me!"

Four people I know had Vista removed and then had XP installed again.

you are right there.
Nowadays laptop come with preinsalled vista and many do not like it and change to windows xp.

i have a assembled desktop .working fine.
I have a HP laptop with XP installed .and working ok.but i want to upgrade it. -
I have a Sony Vaio. Works perfect for me!

I have used multiple brands: Toshiba, VAIO, Asus etc
Now I am sticking to HP -
Imac 24", 3Gig ram huge processor, the MOST AWESOME COMPUTER I HAVE OWNED!-
imac is a good brand .you really have a costlier and superb computer.

I just bought Toshiba 'cause it was the cheapest one I could find. It works well, though -
I got an HP - its one of those touch screens and spins around( haha one of the reasons I bought it!) although really need to get rid of the Vista - takes too much time to load and its just nothing great!!:(-
that is really a good laptop.
Many does not like vista.Dual boot with XP is possible but has some installation procedure for that.
