Which organistion, government or nation has killed innocent people the most?

The Catholic Church..
Consider all of its history: crusades, inquisitions, the church just killing people because they dont like them, and so-on.
I havnt done the research but I"m willing to bet that The Catholic Church is in some way responsible for more deaths then any other government or organization that has ever existed.

  @ Polybore: Do the research and find out. I would be really interested to know. Its going to be really hard to find out how many "heretics" were killed, how many "pagans," were killed, how many "witches" were killed, over the last 2k years though. I'm just saying that I know that The Catholic Church killed anybody they disliked for most of it's history and that if you added all those kills up it would be a massive number. I'm not sure I see where the dispute is...

Since I believe all evil begins with the fallen angels I would say the influence of Satan and his demons in the lives of mankind. Having said that mankind is still responsible for the actions they take. If any one organization has killed more it would be the communistic idea that government knows better than the people.
