I actually shared your "about me" page, Ender, with a friend who was going through a similar battle to the one you prevailed in. She found it inspirational. I've no idea if she left a comment or not, but I know it gave her hope.

So Yes - read the monkey, people!

Ok for real I'd like to know who people admire ONE person for their genuine skills and why etc....

    Obviously it's Dooce.com

She cleaned up at the Bloggie's winning like 4 awards and the Blogger's Lifetime Achievement Award. Her writing is amazing, even though I have started to resent her success.
  5. jsinkeywest
Wow that Dooce.com is strong bet she is making a FORTUNE
that may be a solo project, she looks like she dont take no sh*t:)

I dont think you can judge one as the best blog. Each blog fits into a different area, attracts different people. What is one persons blog is anothers nightmare

Well said. I don't have a favorite. There are a lot that I like reading because I'm a nerd.
    2. jafabrit
I agree. I have favourites whose content, style and subject appeal to me, very subjective.
  9. Netmark
We can judge this way: either have most unique visitors or make most money by one person.

Why do you have to have the most visitors or make the most money. Why did you add your own link
  10. jsinkeywest
Ok how about this one The writer who happens to use a blog for his writing

Josh Wilker's Baseball Toaster: Cardboard Gods gets my vote.

He's one of the most entertaining authors I've ever read. He's got the soul of a poet, and an odd sense of humor that resonates deeply with me.

The blog is ostensibly about baseball cards - specifically late 70's/early 80's topps baseball cards - but each post ends up being a musing on life experiences, depression, or a humorous off-topic rant loosely tied to the card in question.

    Some of my favorites include:

-Bake McBride (who had the coolest afro I've ever seen)- complete with gratuitous "Charles in Charge" banter:

-Rich Dauer's descent into madness: cardboardgods.baseballtoaster.com/archives/609704.html

-Vicente Romo - hero for the mediocre:

I like that...Hero For The Mediocre..

      Everybody needs a hero.
    2. kdawg68
The author is simply amazing - those were three I found humorous, but he can also get very philosophical at times.
    3. jafabrit
      His writing style is excellent.

Sorry that I thought adding my as a signature. It was a confusion! I think most visitors mean popular and make most money means financial success.
    1. jafabrit
Some people are not impressed with or equate success by how much money a person makes, so I don't think that would work as a criteria. Well I suppose it would be if that is the main subject of a blog and attracts those with similar interests.

My blog is from the heart and soul....to me, that makes it the best.

    Check it out at radioactivecats.blogspot.com
