Give me your take. Ben, Steve or Will? Steve Carell is the star of 40 year old virgin, in case the spelling was off.

I think I would go with Ben Stiller. I love all his movies, he is hilarious at playing a dumb guy with major problems.

I'd go with Steve Carell, though none of the above compare to Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Steven Wright, Billy Murray, Steve Martin, Chris Rock, Amy Poehler....

They're not comedians, they're actors. As such, what you see on the screen (large or small,) is no accurate indicator of any of their respective wits. (But I'm really splitting hairs, aren't I?)

I think they're all funny but they all try hard - they're not as 'organic' as other comedians. Here's the correct order:

Will Ferrell(plays a more convincing "naive") then Ben Stiller(not AS convincing..but good.) Steve Carell - he always feels very forced but I'm hoping that he just hasn't found the right script yet. It's there - he just hasn't 'hit the mark' yet.

I am amazed, Shocked, speechless, dumbfounded, stunned, flabbergasted, bowled over, astounded, surprised, flummoxed, gobsmacked, knocked for six, dazed, bemused, stupefied !!!!
That you missed out the most likely candidate ....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will Ferrell is awesome! Will always gives me a giggle.

I fondly remember those St. Patrick Days on Conan with the little icky speedo.

Will Farrel hands down, no questions asked. I mean i know it just came out this weekend but, have any of you seen Step Brothers? Omg that movie was just so damn hilarious i couldnt even breathe i was laughing so hard. And when he was in Talladega Nights and Anchorman and Blades of Glory and just every single episode he was a part of when he was on SNL Oh and A Night At The Roxbury too WOW. I mean, this man is just a comical genious. He's the best. And Jack Black annoys me, sorry.

Without a doubt it's Steve Carell.

I have nothing more to say on the subject other than I hate the other two with a passion.

Steve Carell followed by Will Ferrel and then Ben Stiller.
  14. Anok
Meh. I'm not all that impressed by any of them.

    Robin Williams, now he's funny

Steve Carrell is my choice, followed by Ben Stiller, then Will Ferrell

Well, since I'm a huge Office fan, I'd have to say Steve Carrell. That man is hysterical, even when he doesn't say anything and just looks into the camera.

Steve, Will and then somewhere far behind them is Ben. I can take Steve and Will more so than Ben but that's just a personal thing. My all time favorite is Vince Vaugh when it comes to actors who play comedy.
    1. Jwilldimedrop10
Vince is pretty funny, I will give you that!

Sorry, but I'm not particularly thrilled with any of them. Could have tossed Jack Black in as well and got the same response from me. Today's "comedy" actors just don't do it for me like the old-schoolers did.

I'd personally rather just toss in a DVD of some old black and white comedies like Abott & Costello, Laurel & Hardy, The Marx Brothers or The Three Stooges (w/ Curly, not Shemp) as that was when things were genuinely humorous on film.

I suppose it just stems from getting old though....

ah The Three Stooges... now they were funny.

The other characters initially posted? Nah. More obnoxious.

My pick is Will. The guy is hysterical. I have a couple of his videos in my Blog list on my myspace page. Feel free to check them out.

You can tell how many movies and how much TV watch, I confess I have never heard of any of them!!

It would be a tossup between Steve Carell and Will Ferrell. Will has made some stinkers, like Bewitched, but when he's rolling, he's amazing. I will love Talladega Nights until the day I die, thank you blessed Baby Jesus.

Steve just has to turn in profile so we can see that nose, though, and he's funny. He's like the love child of Bob Hope and Lucille Ball...
  25. loverofjazz
of those three i find ferrell to be the funniest, though i'm not exactly a huge fan. i loved "anchorman" though. he did give a good serious performance in "stranger than fiction" too.
steve carell is more of an actor than a comedian. he was terrific in "little miss sunshine" and is great on "the office" as well.

Will Ferrel...SC lost his momentum and BS is also losing it !
