$100 a day? 36.5k /yr is a tidy bit of profit. I imagine server costs are a bit much, but still, after costs that's nothing to sneeze to at.

Making $100 a day is hard with 1 blog, making it with 50 to 100 blogs at your disposal is quite easy.
-
It isn't hard, it just requires you to be dedicated to the work. Once you learn how to blog replicating your work habits isn't hard. I could go the next six months and do absolutely nothing to the blogs I manage which now counts at 106 and they would make significantly more than $100 a day. Granted the business would fail but the the blogs would still be making money.
In truth you can pretty easily make a $100 a day with less than ten blogs working no more than fifty hours a week, which includes making comments on other blogs and researching your niche. Work smart not hard. -
Though, a few of us are in it for the love or writing. Or because they got an exclusive IT contract, so they decided to use their domain for more than just an e-mail host. Then again, that might just be only me ^.^'
Right now, I'm getting approx 1 GB bandwith/mo, if the current trend were to level off now. If that were to be 1.5 GB of bandwith used over the course of a month, or more, then I would put ads up and use whatever earnings to upgrade my service. -
There are not one single path: it depends on the person profile. If he/she's very good at writing, marketing, sure he/she can with a single blog. But if not, multiple blogs is the way to go.
In fact that's how I made 85$ per month with adsense, see here:
www.adsensenovice.com/2009/04/dont-use-blogger-to-get-started-with.html
It's per month, not per day, now when you begin to understand the process, it's just a question of time ... -
"In truth you can pretty easily make a $100 a day with less than ten blogs working no more than fifty hours a week"
I'm sure that's true, but why would anyone want to work 50 hours a week to make $700 before taxes and expenses? That's about $14/hour gross, and you'd clear less than you would at a $14/hour job because of expenses and self-employment taxes. -
"If they got into this for the love of writing, there might be a focus on grammar and punctuation."
Have to disagree with this one, too. The "love of writing" isn't about grammar and punctuation--at least, not for most people. I definitely blog for the "love of writing" (only 2 of my 7 blogs even have ads on them, and my total earnings to date are 77 cents), and I don't believe that I've ever proofread a blog post. I could count on my fingers the number of times (out of hundreds of posts) that I've consciously thought about grammar or punctuation.
-
i can't make $100 in one day. but I can make it in one week with my main blog. the rest earns at least $4 a day.
i have more than 10 blogs each with specialized topic. -
Yes but if you have five really great blogs or websites which have blogs you can make $100.00 per day. I have to add that affiliate revenue along with ad revenue will help you get there much faster.
Peace

I am sure Wordpress is supporting it. May be you might have to copy and paste the Adsense code to your template. or there might be a some plug in. I know in blogger it is in built. Sorry I am quite new to wordpress as well. But I am pretty sure there should be a easy way to do it Wordpress is quite popular

What are good alternatives to put on your site next to adsense, anyway? I have one block of ads now, will place another somewhere else soon. But I've always asked myself how other ad programs work and how they can work together with Adsense.
www.backstagemedia.net-
bidvertiser and adsdaq. the latter has a ads rotator which can work with other ad programs, pretty cool. its in the sidebar.
see these in my blog

I could absolutely make $100 in a day from my blog. Probably quite a bit more. I'd just have to sell the machine it's running on.
But I could only do it once. And then I wouldn't have a blog any more.
Wait. What were the rules again? -
I have made ten cents in the last month with google and it is the first ten cents that I have made. I think I will be making a hundred a day soon. It won't be tomorrow or next week but I can wait. I want to focus on the writing not the income at this point.

You have got the right idea. You need content before ads. Building your content gets you traffic and traffic is the key to making more money. It does not hurt to look at some well placed affiliate links in your content for the time being, then you can look at monetizing the content through other programs such as Adsense and the like.

there is no easy money on line. if anyone wants to make $100/day or more online, they have to make it a full time job and dedicate time and resources. You must have autoresponder, you must create freebies to have ppl sign up for your newsletter, you have to send out newsletters; you have to search for products to sell and affiliate programs that pay you enough to justify your time; you must own tools and pay for subscription; aweber subscriptions $20/mo; hosting fees -various; wordtracker subscription - $60/mo, AdWords - you set your limit, etc. It adds up and lots of aspiring online money making bloggers go BROKE and give up. It requires dedication, hard work and sleepless nights. Nothing is free

@CharlieHash
Don't even get me started at how much I have paid for Adwords, various hosting fees, subscriptions etc. Also, to have a nice looking blog, one must own good software i.e. Photoshop - $600, MS Office 2007 - $200-$300, movie making software (to make youtube videos) - $60, video camera - $200 and I can go on....... we provide photo and makeup services for women from my photo blog.... there are also various business registrations fees involved, city taxes, business license, etc. -
@ModelElaine. While I have all those programs there are plenty of free alternatives out there. Photoshop (get Gimp), Office (get Open Office), Movie making Software (Windows XP and above ships with Windows Movie Maker, and easily converted to Flash (for file size) through Video Web Wizard which can be purchased for a few dollars). You do not need a business license to run a personal, for profit, blog nor do you have to pay city taxes on it. None of that even comes into play unless you open an official business (commercial office space) and are warehousing your own servers. The only thing that is important is keeping track of your online revenue for tax purposes and most vendors 1099 you if you make any serious money with them.

ten bucks a day is real easy. the hard part is repeating that with 2,3,4,etc more blogs. Also, it's important to note that like all type of businesses, consistency is hard to maintain. your best bet is to get in good with search engines and by building up a lot of quality backlinks to individual pages on your blog. If you keep hammering that, you will be able to work your way up to 100 bucks a day from you blog/blogs.
Ten bucks a day is cake for real. I was doing that within a month of active blogging on bloggernoob.com www.bloggernoob.com/bloggernoobs-income-after-100-days/09/ -
Today.com pays you for each post. The highest a blogger made last month was $700.
-
not yet....but take a look at 6thsearch.blogspot.com
-
if anyone wants to make money writing, your best bet is to on elance.com and get paid gigs. Also you must check out how much other people charge for writing, otherwise you may set the bar too high or too low. Typically from what I've heard it's $10 per article of at least 250 words or something like that and don't get gigs for fewer than 50 articles; 50 articles - $500
-
If you want to make money from writing, put together niche related articles and sell them as PLR to other bloggers. Research your niche and keep good keywords in your content.
Be wary of posts in community forums like this as there is a lot of misinformation and a lot of people who simply want to sell you something. Making money online is not rocket science and it is not super hard but it does take dedication getting started. you have to learn your tools and stick with it - don't bounce around. -
I'm getting in there making $100 not a day but per month lol:) My goal would be $50 a day. Check it out..
For now, i'm still getting started of making more blogs...Enjoy...

I have done well off and on with some regular websites, but I don't make crud from my blog. I didn't really plan to make much from it, but I figured after a few months it would be making me at least a few hundred a month. Not happening.
I have not tried adsense or any other programs like it as it doesn't give me enough control and would clutter my blog. I just have a few ads from Commission Junction. That sort of thing has done well with my static sites.
I am doubting my blog will ever make even a couple hundred a month unless I sell advertising spots. -
-
when I made 50 a day I wanted 75 now i make 100 I want 150 Im never happy, and people that say you cant make 100 dollars a day should know that there are many people people that make 10's of thousands each month from there sites, some do it with PPC and lots of lists, but it is doable, ya just gota keep banging out the content find a afffiliate program that will give you the tools you need, like custom banners templates and and tips and what works and doesnt. Trust me it's very doable.

I make about $60-$100 a month in adsense, not $100 a day. My site gets about 100,000 page views per month with an alexa rank of about 120,000. In the end it's a numbers game and if you make the ads mix nicely with your content. Thing is, most people do not make $100 a day so watch for scamming spammers. A site with traffic about 30x mine or with about 3 million+ page views a month or about 100,000 page views a day has a shot at this kind of money. Check the alexa rank of the site of who ever claims to be making this $$ since they have to be around a rank of 50,000 or less. Anyone else is just blowing steam.

Hmm it is not going to happened in one day. It will take some times. Need hardworking and bit of luck with smart ideas.
Online money depends on the traffic you get. I think thats true for all other kind of businesses. Without getting people into your shop you wont get much sales. Also it should not be your friends but people who are looking for your service or product. You need to build that first.
When I start this thread I was getting $0.05 or $0.00 per day from AdSense. Now I manage to get more over $5.00 per day.
Do not give up.
