Who doesn't like chocolate cake! I will dig up a recipe for you...

Dang it! I had a recipe from my favorite bakery "Taste of Heaven" in Chicago and I can no longer locate it.

    It was rich and decadent.

That was my 1st thought when I read the subject line.

      Who doesn’t like Chocolate Cake?
The darker the better with fudge pecans and carmel.

I guess that would be about a million calories in one sitting.

Worth it? Well of course though better hit the gym after wards.

That's the amazing thing about chocolate cake, the more you add the better!

Its good for when you want something quick and easy after dinner too - its a pretty big serving though, the mixture almost doubles in size of mug when it's cooked
    3. BetsyIckes
That's cool! I'll have everyone hooked on it LOL

@Still: Hmmmm seeing your avatar and im reminded by the quote from Meet the parents.

"you can milk anything with nipples"

I dunno about the vanilla though - I sometimes use brandy or whiskey instead
    6. Stillthinking
      Don't have those either!

      *sobs*

      maple syrup?
    8. Stillthinking
Yes, yes I have maple syrup!

I am not using cat milk though.

Use melted icecream then - dairy product and flavouring all in one
    10. Stillthinking
      No ice cream...

Oh screw it. I am going to get some chocolate cake.

We had a birthday party for my mom with a bunch of relatives. My sister and I made 2 cakes. One was an old recipe from a distant relative, "Mama Blanche"..haha The other was a recipe from Cook's Illustrated. We decided to get everyone to vote to find out which was the best. They didn't know which cake was which. The "Mama Blanche" recipe won.

Cool! Sounds like a winner to me too!

I'm going to buck the trend here and say that I'm not a fan of chocolate cake, unless it's German Chocolate (which isn't so heavy and exceedingly-chocolaty) with that terrific coconut and pecan frosting. Pie, on the other hand...except that nasty French Silk stuff. I don't get the chocolate obsession. [shrugs] Anyone have some banana cream pie?
    1. BetsyIckes
Oh German Chocolate is good too!
  8. xmarks
Cake is ok. Chocolate cake isn't so good.
    1. xmarks
I love chocolate but never really cared for it as a favor
  9. umesh
i like all types of cakes.
But variety and taste available here might be different from there.
    1. BetsyIckes
Oh yeah! There are a lot of other scrumptous cakes out there!
