Spain he hasn't los for like 40 games, or Argentina if they fire Maradona.

It will not be Argentina, they show very bad football, but Spain may be if Germany or England will not show something interesting.

      But I will support Togo

Well, we know it's not going to be the US. Our youth system will not develop players like the EPL or the majority of foriegn leagues. Sad, but true.

England. Finally, with Rooney, Becks, Lampard and Gerrard, there is no stopping them

England I'm afraid... Even though I'm for Croatia

I think I believe that Argentina might pull it off but I would like to see England. How bout an England and Argentina final?

Possibly Spain. They've finally got the monkey off their back of being perennial underachievers at major championships and have the players to win again. England look more focused under Capello.

Or to be precise, Association Football, in order to distinguish it from Rugby Football, Gaelic Football, Australian Rules Football, American Football, Canadian Football - Ah, just use football or soccer, whichever is more relevant for you
    2. dsriharsha
      this is the real football..
call the American version something else or use the full name "American football" but don't call the american version simply football.. you catch the ball and run.. where is the foot connected to the ball :O

It's called soccer here too, to differentiate it from rugby football. Soccer or eshibobo, I think.

Not sure yet, but this is the greatest event in the world. Nothing compares to it. I can't wait until 2010.

You can tell I wish I was a soccer player! Sorry I never learned it. When I was in school, everyone made fun of you if you liked soccer. How times have changed here. The MLS is growing big. The WPS is taking off also.

I like to see an outsider win. Africa is not that high though in world rankings. Best team Cameroon is ranked 16th. Then it quickly drops off to the 20s and higher for other teams in world rankings.

UEFA has all the best talent in the world. It is hard to beat them. CONMEBOL I would rate the second best confederation.

    2. flamingpoodle
      Well, actually our soccer sucks

      I'm just hoping we win!
