So I've been an avid Twitter user under the account of twitter.com/septagonstudios
Great social networking tool. It has helped bring in alot of traffic.
However due to problems with server issues in the past, and api requests and following limits. I'm not able to add any more followers to my list.
I've tried removing some to add others, rotation process, didn't work. I submitted a support ticket still no answer.
This is the error message I get which doesn't make sense if you look at the actual problems, where I don't request any API, I don't tweet more then 50 times a day.
This is the error message has anyone else had this problem.
You are unable to follow more people. Please read about our following limits.

Something is horribly wrong with this picture and the way you are using twitter. If you can't see that - Well, I can't imagine how anybody can NOT see that..
I had problems after I reached 2000 followings .. with only 900 or so following me - I just gave in and deleted everybody who is not following me.
I suggest you check out itweet.net and watch how the API request and following limits tick down for you. -

There are millions (billions?) of twitter users ... everytime you follow people and receive their tweets, it comes from their server. They limit the number of requests per hour per user so the server stays stable and everybody can benefit from the service. Remember about 6 months ago? Twitter server was overtaxed and down every couple of days.. It's been pretty good recently!

So by removing my followers will this help my situation? If so can I find a Twitter tool that does before I go insane in removing 30 thousand odd friends.

When I was removing those 1300 from my account - it was easier to just click the FOLLOWING link and scroll down the page and unfollow everybody that I couldn't send a direct message too ... took me about an hour to do ... 30,000 is a lot .. probably take a lot longer - but, an hour a day maybe?
Also - don't forget the followers too - when I was cleaning up - I found there were about 100 new people I didn't know they were following me, because it kept me at 2000 following limit. About 75 of those tho, turned out to be spammers and although following me - I was unable to follow them so, I removed them from my followers list too.
