Why every 3rd or 4th blog that I visit is about online money making . Is this hot these days or what ??

My blog has also a section for this but my blog is not completely about money making

Don't tell me your blog is also about money making or just tell me

There are a lot of blogs not about money making-- if you check the directory here there are tons in almost any category you'd want to read

It's amazing how many people today are starting blogs with the sole aim of making money. This is so the wrong approach. Not everybody is a John Chow.

It's also proof of high levels of unemployment and dipping world economies.

Rightly said . Even The ones that are making money didn't make any money from the beginning !

Agreed. I believe the obsession with blogging for money is a reflection of unemployment and dipping world economies as you do.

However, I also believe there is a GREED factor involved because I have heard MANY comfortably well off middle class North Americans wail: "I just want to make a bit of extra income for my family" when they are told they cannot have adsense on their wordpress[dot]com blogs.

I am sick to death of witnessing the BS scams for making a million *cough* on the internet and the this is a golden opportunity lines *cough*. If I see anything of that nature on a blog I click out NEVER EVER to return again.

The truth is that there are legions of bloggers TRYING to make money on the internet and that very few actually make a significant amount. This is primarily because most of do not produce original work that reflects any unique information, talent and/or expertise.

trend are seems moving from personal diary to money making blog. this is a health situation. why don't we take this golden opportunity?

in other side, this phenomenon are powered/encourage by advertiser demand.

I think this is because people are more interested to make money with their blogs and turn their sites into a small business. My blog is not about this topic, but I wrote one article about inspiring people about earning from blogging, blog-success.blogspot.com/2008/04/you-dont-have-to-write-about-make-money.h...

Well! my blog is not about money making its about cooking recipes so don't get jealous from me:). I don't think so that only money making blogs are common these days i have seen many other blogs related to various topics as well and are running successfully. Blogging is a very vast area and anyone try to make his own blog but he has to be patience to become a good blogger; knowledge and experience makes the difference!!

If you fall for the "Hey you can make money doing this... just like all 20,000,000 other people!" scam you're an idiot.

Interesting opinion and very much true . BTW I just stumbled your link

I have adsense on both my blogs but I would be blogging with the same enthusiasm even if adsense never existed...if I make a few bucks from it, great, but if I don't, who cares...

everyone wants a "quick fix" for cash and think it's on the internet, but the trouble is every one is selling "Magic Formula's" and no one is buying because the scams get exposed so easily, the latest one being typing ads for money or reading emails, life's a scam and anywhere a group of people collect there will be scams, so just get on with your life. and think everyone is after YOUR money,

if your going to make a million over night and someone wants 300 to tell you how, just tell them to take it out of your first weeks wages, then see how many decline.

      @spiritualkevan
I strongly agree with what you have said. I cannot believe how dull of wit and silly some people can be. If there is any scam at all that includes you paying money to make a million run for the hills.

Here's a way to not sacrifice your blogging integrity and still make loot: have one personal blog where you don't sell out, and have a second "make money OMFG ROFL" blog and make sure they have no logical connection to one another.

      Many people are doing this
