DIY, A Butt-Crack and A Back Injury!

There are 3 physical conditions that I dislike: Being sick, being in pain and being immobilized! Over the weekend a personal injury that had me in pain and being semi-immobilized was an imperfect ending to a tedious week. Having hurt my back I learned 2 important things, both Murphy’s Law and Gravity can be bitches and certain DIY work around the house is best suited for those who knows what they are doing.

I'm sorry you hurt your back

I am also currently frustrated with some projects I'm doing, but luckily I have not hurt myself, or anyone else yet

Anok, I think I'll leave the DIY stuff to the lesbians & straight guys. Give my something to fix with a car and I can do it, but anything around the house and I will stuff it up!

      LOL!

Hey, do you do auto-body and painting? I'm stuck and frustrated right now

I'm good with the dyi but I'm learning to leave some projects to the professionals. we lost our water heater (and about 40 gallons of water) yesterday. After careful thoughyt, we brought in a professional to do it. took him an hour this morning, I'd need at least three days and a truck load of shamwows.

Always better to get a professional to fix things. Far less drama and potential injuries and messes!!

I'm the same way. I don't mess with electricity or complicated plumbing But everything else is right up my alley.

This weekend I'm going to learn to replace the duct from the new heater. I've been informed that we can do it without much trouble. Luckily I have a brand new box of Thomas the Train band-ades

My sympathies...Indeed, in my own case, I'm not sure what I dislike most, being sick, injured, or DIY. I guess it depends on the ailmant, but also on the DIY

I am staying clear of all DIY work from now on. Rather pay someone.

Well now don't get discouraged. you can't learn anything by letting others do it, or never making mistakes.

Get back out there, and just proceed with a bit more caution

I don't fix anything myself. I have doorknobs and light fixtures broken all over the house. I just learn to live with and around them.

Even us pros get frustated. There is never a day where e we arent cursing up a storm or moaning about aches and pains.

I don't ever think I'd be a pro at DIY stuff and neither will my husband. Sometimes one needs to call in the professionals!

Well, I'm not a lesbian but I do enjoy DIY stuff. Even got a circular saw for my birthday from my hubby woo-hoo! My hubby thinks I'm a strange mix of girl though. I have long nails that are real but I'm not afraid to break one either.

If I don't know how to do it I leave it alone. DIY isn't always DIY

You sound like an interesting woman, your husband is lucky to have you. I don't know many women that would get excited about getting a circular saw for their birthday! Most would contemplate divorce ;-)

Since we have kids and I have all the jewlery I ever cared to own and I never wear it. I like practical things, things that I can use. Even my wedding ring sits in a jar for fear that I will loose a dimond. I grew up with a mom that was DIY. My hubby freaked out the first time he saw me use a drill. He told me to watch my hands. I just laughed at him.

      I begged for the saw.

It sounds like if I have a DIY problem I should phone you or your mother Shiley. I suppose it can be quite sexy watching a woman do DIY for your husband and it safes him the trouble to attempt it himself.
