Is the bacony goodness not self-explanatory?

Have you not seen CA's recipes here where bacon is as gratuitous to each dish as a strip club scene in an action picture?
    1. crpitt
I am not addressing gtally any more, as he obviously hasn't eaten real bacon.
    2. gtally
But it's more than just savory goodness.

People at twitter are throwing around the bacon references like it's going out of style!

crpitt... so given all the changes around here, does this mean the Colorado trip is dead? Or merely resting?
    3. crpitt
I have not witnessed an baconesque goings on.
    4. ThriftShopRomantic
Bacon is beautiful. It unites so many. Why for you question the unity of the glorious bacon?
    5. gtally
Go to twitter and search #bacon or bacon.

People just won't shut up about bacon!
    6. crpitt
Are you following a lot of foodies?
    7. gtally
Well, yeah. And wine people, too.

They love their bacon, I suppose.

It's something of a religion on twitter.
    8. ThriftShopRomantic
Yes, they call them the Baconites. They wear pink and white stripey cloaks.
    9. gtally
Yeah! They meet in a frying pan every Sunday and speak in sizzles and pops.

      What!

You have never had proper English bacon, that must be it.
    3. Deray28
I can eat very little of it. I think it over-powers the flavor of what ever it is on and it grosses me out.

You are right about that Claire, I haven't had English bacon.
    4. gtally

Claire, I will gladly try the bacon buttie, I don't guarantee a positive reaction to it though, jajajaja. BTW, one of my dreams is to visit England, I've had it since very little because of Lady Di, my real name is Diana, you see

Bacon has always been very popular that's why Shakespeare wrote "Oh bacon thou art a salty yet plump and feisty temptress. For thou sizzles art to me as an angel's laughter trickling down from those bountiful pork filled heavens to alight and then delight my oft rancorous yet flexible tongue"
    1. gtally
That's why he wrote in iambic pork-tameter!
    2. crpitt
      Beautifully quoted Pink donkeh
    3. aningeniousname
Get thee to yon naughty corner you foul pun filled gangrenous dog!
    4. gtally
And let's not forget Shakespeare's famous love sow-nets!
    5. aningeniousname
And of course that story of bacony revenge, Hamlet.
    6. gtally
"What a piece of work is bacon! How noble in deliciousness! How infinite in tastiness! In strips and frying how express and admirable! In mouth how like an angel! In digestion how like a god! The beauty of the world, the paragon of edible animals! " Hamlet quote (Act II, Sc. II).
    7. aningeniousname
And of course we also have Polonious's sage advice:

      This above all — to thine porkself be true;
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false bacon to any man.
    8. gtally
      Don't forget:
"The bacon's the thing wherein I'll catch the taste buds of the king". Hamlet Quote (Act II, Scene II).
    9. aningeniousname
Even that dastardly villain Richard loved his bacon:

Now is the breakfast of our discontent
      Made glorious summer by this son of pork;
And all the clouds that loured upon our house
In the deep bosom of the bacon buried.
    10. HollytheHousewife
don't you mean "swine pun filled"...jackass
    11. gtally
      I cry foul! Switching plays!

"The lady doth eat bacon too much, methinks". Hamlet ( Quote Act III, Sc. II).
    12. HollytheHousewife
      so I just don't have a comeback to that,sorry...
    13. gtally
Whoops! Sorry, HTHW. It wasn't actually directed at you. I was just keeping the Hamlet going...
  10. HollytheHousewife

Any recipe on my site that has bacon in its title is read by more people than any other type of recipe.

Bacon is an incredibly popular food.

  19. PussDaddy
I don't get it either and think it is pretty stupid, IMHO.
