   Because like hundreds of thousands of other people who have been accused of crimes but not yet been tried or convicted, he was released on bond pending that process.
   
   Generally, in this country, we try not to jail people until they've been found guilty.

   Don't worry, codesucker. You'll be able to ask this same question in a few months when Chris Brown is free, doing community service as punishment for committing one of the most cowardly and reprehensible crimes imaginable.

   I wish I came from a country where men could even be arrested at least for beating their wives. In the clinic we see women being brought in regularly who have been beaten to nonsense by their husbands and nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. I can't count how many times my mum was beaten till she bled and nothing happened. Even now at my age 26, she still gets beaten for offences like not answering wen her husband calls her. Wife battery is common among the eastern parts of nigeria. In fact, the eastern men see it as a normal thing to beat their wives. I pray to God that one day, women all over the country can stand up for themselves and men can be arrested for beating women. Thank god I was born into a new age, no man is going to lay a finger on me, and expect me to still put food on the table. Sorry for my long posts guys, it just disturbs me. Chris Brown is a coward for beating a woman to that state.

    why did it take so long to put bernie madoff in jail when everyone knew he was guilty??
