Why Organizations Prohibit their Employee from using Social Media in the Middle East?

I have came cross this post at the Web Pro News website, and this post reminds me with the reasons that almost all profit and non-profit organizations in the Middle East are not supporting the idea of Social Media and Social Networking, and actually they tell their employee not to use Social Media and prohibit them when they do so.

I do believe that the way they are thinking is a little bit old fashion. But you cannot put 100% the blame on them, just look at the blogcatalog itself here, so many people use it just to promote themself (spam)and etc.. I think you get what I mean-
Yes, you are right.. and yeah I got what you mean, and even people on BlogCatalog are rarely into the directory section
so even this is a paid service to promote your blog on the directory section but no body goes there! thank you for your comment and interact!
