Karma doesn't punish. In fact Karma is neither good nor bad, it simply is.

It has already happened in that our actions have spawned reactions that have not served this country well economically or geo-politically.

      i agree

I believe in karma, but maybe the economic downturn is our karma for everything.

it seems so, excpet that i think this economic depression is actually one that we saw coming years ago and is a result of domestic / not foreign policy

Well, since we are on the right side in the wars I don't think it will hurt us. The question should be asked to Saddam really when he was cutting peoples tongues out and fingers off for years will most in the world just watched it and let it continue since it was not their family.

I don't believe in Karma...I think there are consequences to our actions and well....thing are going from bad to worse in the near future. Raising the awareness of the public is essential for a softer but still painful landing.

Isn't that what Karma is, a law of causation? I guess I am not looking at karma as a spiritual thing but as described on wiki and some other sites: "Through the law of karma, the effects of all deeds actively create past, present, and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to him/her and others."

Jafa, you are correct about what Karma is in a physical sense. In this world, while you are living, Karma is merely cause and effect, to the Nth degree.

However there is a spiritual aspect of it, that addresses the consequences (or cause and effect) in the afterlife. It's the same principle, but it takes on a far more philosophical and spiritual long term meaning for those that believe in reincarnation.

According to what I've heard from the great Indian Godmen, yes and it's coming soon, in fact imminent. I find this very disturbing. The great beings from Inner Space, which some people see as Extra Terrestrials discussed this back in the early seventies, and much of what they have said has come to pass

    Karma doesn't "punish" anyone.

America's govt. does what it has to to maintain it's dominance in the world. Don't be sorry or guilty for it, it is was it is. It's because of it that we're the greatest nation to ever be. It's why everyone else wants to be an American, or at the very least, live here.
Truth is about perspective. Don't think that America is the bully and everyone else is the victim. Compared to the rest of the world America is very young and those other countries have spent thousands of years doing the wrong things for their people. If you find that you have when others do not, thank your govt. for being on top of things and looking after your best interests.
Karma is not real. The world is full of undeserving evil people that die rich and happy after living a long life of excess and wealth. It is what it is.

When conditions are right, America will burn to the ground and all those in her.

I think Karma is nibbling at the MUSLIM TERRORIST BUTT AT THE MOMENT

Let's face it, if karma exists in the way the term's being used in this thread...(the simplistic rewards & punishments version, popular among both Western New Agers and Hindu fundamentalists)...my man GFG's in big trouble....
