Will Windows 7 Be As Popular As Windows 95 Was?

We are just a few weeks away from Windows 7 which my make or break Microsofts future in the Desktop OS market. Do you think Windows 7 will be as influential as Windows 95 when it first released, or will it be another Vista bust?

WIndows 7 is way better than Vista ever was. How influential it will be remains to be seen though.

Polybore has not seen any huge advantage to upgrading from Windows XP yet. Windows 7 has made polybore think about it but despite the bells and whistles of Windows 7 there is no point in upgrading for the time being. Not until there is software that can leverage the OS in particular direct X11. Can it succeed where directX10 failed?

Windows XP didn't capture the same "WOW" that people had going from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95, that was pure magic at the time.
