I will be for sure.

If you haven't heard of Earth Hour check out www.earthhourus.org

Here is an exerpt from the site to give you a bit of an idea.

"We invite everyone throughout North America and around the world to turn off the lights for an hour starting at 8 p.m. (your own local time)–whether at home or at work, with friends and family or solo, in a big city or a small town. "

My blog post about Earth Hour:

    yes we just did....

i spent the first 10 minutes making ghost noises around the house

then my daughter sat me down and got me to listen to her favourite bands and tunes on her ipod

after that i went out side and waited for all the lights to come on( it's night here) and I was about to scream 'happy electricity' but alas no other lights came on

So I ended up dancing around the kitchen with a broom upside down singing Black Sabbath 'Iron Man' which I haven't heard since 1973, because my son was playing it on acoustic guitar..

My wife was listening to Self Development tapes on her ipod and just called out "I'm not watching"

wow ...an enviro-Spiritual experience...I am empowered by this moment

Sounds like you had a great time. I'm glad you and your family had fun.

yup...we will definitely be participating the earth hour. This is the time that people need to come together and support conservation efforts. With the deforestation rates and global warming, little things that we can do to help would be beneficial.

I'm glad to hear you'll be participating. It's great to see how many people with such a small amount of time have signed on board with Earth Hour.

    1. EcoInsomniac

Why thank you. A very nice thing to say. I love your promo effort. It's all over Twitter.

      Rich,
We must be in the same city and your right, I don't think this town will EVER turn off the lights. Kind of sad, if you think about it.
  12. Theresa111
We did turn out the lights for one hour. We talked most of the time.
