Will you be switching off the lights for Earth Hour, on March 28, 2009?

On Saturday 28 March 2009 at 8.30pm, people, businesses and iconic buildings around the world will switch off their lights for an hour. - WWF's Earth Hour.

The WWF is hoping that a billion people will sign up and participate.
I have already done so and am planning a candlelight supper with my G.

What do think of this and will you be taking part?

Yes I will be and I've answered in another couple of threads that were posted on the same subject. Here's the link to one of them. If you read my entries you will discover that every night all winter long I throw the breakers to the electric circuits in my home to the "off" position (except for the one that the refrigerator and freezer are on).

I've seen a candle company sell the idea to turn off the lights and use candles instead for that hour . . . . . any body know if burning a bunch of candles pollutes less then light bulbs??????????

Absolutely! We did it last year and posted a video of candles and guitar over at You Tube. I bet this year there will tons more videos there than last year because the campaign is wonderful this year.
