Microsoft just put up Windows 7 Public Beta for the first 2.5 Million users. Guess what happened when they put it up?

The servers jammed like crazy! I can't even get past the second screen to try and get into the beta.

Microsoft should have anticipated this when they decided to put it up for public download!

windows says: "As much as the Windows 7 Beta completely rocks, part of the beta process is discovering bugs and reporting those bugs. Some of those bugs could possibly lead to data loss."

    i'll pass

Me too. What comes with the territory of being an early adopter of any beta software is experiencing the frustration of bugs. My time is too valuable to spend it that way. I wait until software is stable before I come on board.

MS did a stupid mistake. They should have harnessed the power of bit-torrents to get the Windows 7 betas out, instead of whining about p2p networks. Much faster and efficient that way. Anyway, build 7000 has been on pirate sites long enough that the beta testers will turn to them instead of MS. Windows 7, AFAIK, is very very stable and I haven't even experienced the mp3 glitch. If you install on a separate partition and dual boot or use VM Ware, it's pretty safe.

    Well you know what?

The 2.5M limit was removed! Go and download it now!

I like it. Its much better than Vista. But its still in Beta. I think sriraminhell is right, it should be used in a dual boot setup or virtual machine only, because most of the hardware drivers are missing.
