    I can't really think of a thing that would fit in this blank. There are things/people I'd miss like crazy and that would leave a big hole in my life for a time, but there isn't anything in my life today that I haven't at one time or another been without, and I can't say that I ever felt that life was "empty".

       I'm the same. There's nothing in my life that I have not done without previously. If my family and friends all went AWOL then I would be very sad, but I have never felt that my life was "empty". And IMHO it's unlikely that will ever feel that way.

       In my opinion (please do not shoot my theories down just because you disagree,) God is what people originally called the Anunakki, an ancient race of aliens who created us. So in theory, God being the Anunakki, then I agree, without God we wouldn't exist.
       
       However I think my life would be empty without my wife and daughter.
