We all know the way to a man's heart is his stomach what is the dish your significant other says is the best?

Mine is chili. Unfortunately, I also get the repercussions of chili.

I hate chili and curry and cooking.
I adore men who can and who do cook for me.
    2. Shiley
      Mine makes stirfry. That's it.
    3. crkian
I do all the cooking what do you prefer italian, chinese, english
    4. Shiley
just about anything. I don't do seafood allergic and it can kill me. I don't eat cat or dog because I can't eat an animal I know and man's best friend. Octopus is out well allergic to seafood so obvious.

    I love the title Shirley

My husband is fond of saying:

"The way to a man's heart is not through his stomach, it's through your apple pie!"

    Altogether now.... "Awwwwwww".

Thank you I thought since the other thread is floating around here let's look and see how many men we get in the icon to the side. Even if they don't comment we know they are there.

So far only the creepy kid is lurking - oops, Chris you didn't read that, did you?

Things should heat up later muwahahahaha
    3. Shiley
I guess we'll have to keep talking to keep the thread in view?
    4. crkian
May have to change my avatar. Got my humor blog starting later
    5. ThriftShopRomantic
Really, hey cool. Although "Humor as Blogged By a Four Year Old" may be a niche that no one intentionally gone after.

Though some folks tap into it inadvertently.

      Ooh I can't wait!

Will you announce it here? What am I saying of COURSE you will
    7. Shiley
crkian, I guess you weren't much for that guys thread either. You keep coming back for more. Thank you for not killing it. He's here!
    8. crkian
I may even swear in it if my mummy lets me

Couldn't resist reading this. But you knew that.

In answer to your question, it's not what you serve, it's how you serve it.
    1. Shiley
      case and point.
    2. crpitt
      naked?
    3. Shiley
Lol! I'm trying to prove you can't single someone out because of gender.
  4. crpitt
Oh no! you fell for his evil ploy number whatever by starting a woman only thread.
    1. crkian

    2. crpitt

    3. crkian

Cheers me dears, I am not a gracious compliment receiver
    5. Shiley
I didn't fall for anything just proving that if you mention "Men only" or "Women only" you're going to get the opposite of what you wanted. I just feel like being a trouble maker today.

Hubby loves my chili, and lasagna. I'm happy to make the chili, but I only know how to cook it in enormous batches that simmer for hours. Then we have chili on the menu for days - over rice, on hot dogs, with noodles, on toast, whatever.

Lasagna is reserved for special occasions, because it takes me forever (and a fair chunk of money) to make. Damn you, ricotta cheese, for being so tasty! I made the mistake of baking homemade pizza a couple of months ago, and now hubby's pushing for it to be on the weekly menu. It seems that the really time-comsuming dishes are the way to his heart. And cheese.
    1. Shiley
Me too. My beans soak over night and the rest takes all day but because my fiance is Italian decent he'll NEVER accept my pasta in any form. I'm not mamamia!

In my relationship it is "the way to my heart is my stomach." My husband does the cooking. I knew he was "the one" when I realized that he is always willing to feed me when I was a teen! And I have to say that my favorite dish is when he makes tri tip for me.

Our most memorable vacations are always based on the meals we had at the vacation spot. If we went to some good restaurants, we tell everyone we had a good time and vice versa. It does not matter if the attractions were lousy because we had good food!

      @asithi
YAY! Another woman just like me --- I'm so happy to meet you.
  7. Anniepooh
    No, no ... the way to a man's heart is a .45.
    1. legbamel
I thought it was a Skilsaw.

hang on is 'steak' a code used by women
    1. Shiley
Lol! Glad you're here to give me a giggle. I was on a thread that I just wanted to scream at a few males and I knew I'd end up in tears. Glad I didn't comment.

Hubby says he loves anything I make but his favorites are meatloaf (which he used to hate because he'd only ever had his mothers) and my macadamia nut and panko crusted chicken.
    1. Shiley
What is it with mothers and men? That's why my fiance won't eat my pasta. He says it's too Americanized.
    2. ThriftShopRomantic
Macadamia nut crusted chicken? Oh WOW. Now that sounds good. I don't want to talk about steak anymore. I want to talk about macadamia nut crusted chicken.
    3. Shiley
Hey whatever! This thread and the other are like give me a cup of coffee sit back and relax.
    4. legbamel
What's a macadamia, and why would you want to eat its...ohhhhhh, you mean those little round Hawaiian things.
    5. Shiley
Like an almond but it's a macademia nut with a different name.
  10. BennyGreenberg
OK - Just so you know - I am not lurking - It is r.e.s.e.a.r.c.h.

    1. Shiley
Lol! I started it because a guy above was insulting and to prove that if I said women only guys would come to the thread. You can't keep someone out based on gender.

    1. Shiley
      On your steak?
    2. dosox
      no that's my steak
  12. Alcomum
LOL - I'm told I make a great bolognese. But I don't really believe there is any way to a man's heart. he either gives it to you or he doesn't. and he usually doesn't - but he'll eat whatever you cook him anyways!
    1. Shiley
Mine doesn't he eats processed garbage. He's a walking heart attack waiting to happen. What's blolognese?
