Wordpress Youtube Error ??????

I often have trouble these days embedding the Youtube code to Wordpress blogs. Usually I have to post the code about 5 or 6 times into the html window before it sticks. In most cases the code disappears.

Anyone else suffer this?

I used to have a problem, doesn't it have to do with having the right flash player capability? you may just need to upload the right one.

  but the issue is at wordpress.com , same error on three browsers, on a dozen different computers at different times of the day. Also same prob on hosted. I think it is a youtube error, when it grabs the embed code, processes it and sends back the final code.
  
  It was bad about 10 months ago and has just recently gone crazy again

I think Youtube has been having some problems. I know yesterday Youtube was acting wonky and a lot of embed videos wouldn't play right, maybe it is still having issues?

You might be able to get round the problem by using Microsoft Live Writer. At least if you tried Live Writer it might narrow down the diagnosis of the fault.

Incidentally Polybore loves Live Writer. Removes a lot of the risk of heartbreak when compared to posting via a browser and you always have an off line copy.

i had the same problem on my blog on wordpress.org it took a couple times before it would work right - and then it kept copying in code for the wrong video. i did finally get it to work tho...
