So, you fellow bloggers:
Where do you usually exercise, at a gym, at home or outside?
Do you have a home gym, work out at a same or co-ed gym? The Loop (24 Hour Fitness)? Curves? Local gym?
Do you exercise first thing in the morning or after work?
Have you always been a work out nut? Or have you ever let exercise slip and want to get back into the swing of a regular work out?
Do you listen to music when you work out? Read a book while doing cardio? Or simply gawk at other folks working out?
Tell us your workout regime.

I used to go to a gym 5 times a week ... but it got too expensive, so not anymore. Now I walk every day, take the stairs, and have a little exercise/weight lifting regime I do at home. Much less expensive. I rarely listen to music while exercising, never when I'm walking. At home I usually have the news on while working out.

Outside on my acreage, in the forest on the beach or in a park. I do a gentle yoga stretch routine and then I walk or run for 1 or 1 1/2 hours every morning. I do not listen to music when I walk. I tune into nature.

Morning - stretch & walk
Afternoon - cardio (aerobics) and yoga

I have always been physically active and outdoors orientated. I live on a small farm so getting exercise has never been a problem for me. The only time I do not exercise is when I'm ill or injured.

Yes, I listen to music when I do my aerobics workout (cardio). No I do not gawk at others. I'm alone.
P.S. During the winter months I attend a yoga class once weekly and a jazz dance class once weekly as well. -
I have a home gym but also a gym membership because I tend to isolate so much and sometimes I need to get out of my house. My gym at home consists of a Bo-Flex weight machine, an elliptical cross trainer, and a treadmill.
I also attend two yoga classes every week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
I work at least 5 days aweek, usually 6 and sometimes 7. I love it!
Oh--when I am doing yoga, I do it in silence. When I work out on the treadmill or elliptical, I listen to *hard core rock and roll* for motivation. Sometimes I listen to music when walking--depending if I am walking in the city (music) or country (no music). -
I run 5 miles 3 times a week, sometimes through the forest trails or on tracks at local parks, usually near dark. I have a 90 min belly dance class on Mon.'s. I do stretches, yoga, and practice belly dance most nites at home. I walk 2 miles with leg weights every week day during my lunch. I started working out seriously 3 years ago. I listen to my mp3 player when I work out.

Usually at my local YMCA. If I'm away, I bring a pull-up bar with me, which I can also use for deep pushups.
I normally exercise late afternoon when I have more energy from eating throughout the day.
I've lifted weights for 5 or 6 years now. I bring my iPod nano with me. I get most of my cardio from playing sports (basketball, tennis) and mountain biking. -
I used to be a workout freak. Then football ended, I went to college, put on a Freshman 25 (I think it's supposed to be a Freshman 15, but for me it was more like 25) - and then the whole desk job/cubicle of death thing happened.
Just bought a new weight bench and treadmill over the last two weeks and went back at it - it's heartbreaking to realize I'll never be in the shape I was at 18/19 ever again. Plus - my chest is sooooo sore now.
It's indoors for me - at home. I spend a good 12-13 hours a day away from home so I don't have time to hit an outside gym. And it's after work as we're already up by 5 AM getting the family ready for work/daycare.
Regarding music - funny but weird tidbit. When I'm on a treadmill and start getting tired, you know - that moment when you start looking down at the seconds/distance/calories burned and feel like each one is a mini-millenium - I start singing songs from Full Metal Jacket. Don't know why, but I do.
"I don't know but I've been told (I don't know but I've been told)
Eskimo ***** is mighty cold (Eskimo ***** is mighty cold)..."
I've found that going all the way through this "song" can take well over a minute - which helps pass time. It's also got a good cadence to run to. -
