Would you opt for botox, liposuction or any such forms of cosmetic enhancement or cosmetic surgery to improve your looks? Also check this post, where Bollywood actresses have gone for cosmetic surgery

I am very opinionated on this. Don't mean to make anyone angry. Just my personal views:
Botox - no, mainly because it doesn't last very long. If it could be permanant it would be great for people who have unusually early or disfiguring wrinkles. I do believe in letting oneself age in the way nature intended, but sometimes Mother Nature is cruel.
Lipo - yes but only for people who are at their target weight and have strange proportion issues that interfere with life or fitting clothing. It should be not used as a weight loss tool.
Cosmetic surgery in general - yes, but only to let someone be "average" when they have a characteristic or deformity that interferes with their health or quality of life. -
I don't have any problem with plastic surgery, unless it's plastic surgery to change ethnic features.
For example, in Korea, the most popular plastic surgery is reshaping eyelids for a more Western eye shape. This is followed by nose jobs, thinning the width and raising the profile.
I find this appalling. Asian eyes are very closely intermingled with racial identity and having plastic surgery to change the shape implies an underlying discomfort with Asian racial identity.
Most Asian women who have had this surgery (including women in my family) will claim up and down that many Asian women naturally have a "western" eyelid and that having surgery to change your eyes is not denying your racial identity. (Shakes head) If that was true, then eyelid surgery wouldn't be so common. -
I really don't understand why people do this. Ageing is a natural process and let's face it - cosmetic intervention really doesn't make you look younger. Besides, look at women like Helen Mirren, Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Lee Curtis...naturally ageing and stunning!

I don't know about Jennifer Aniston's nose job...my point was why are we all so obsessed with appearance? Who cares if your nose is a little crooked, you've got some lines on your face or your teeth are a bit wonky? So what? It's these imperfections that make you unique and special. Be happy with yourself...that's where true beauty lies...in self acceptance. People who love and care about you will do so whether you are heavy, thin, short, tall, wrinkly, not wrinkly...whatever...having said that, this is my point of view and I totally respect your right to do whatever you choose with your face and body.

I agree that self-acceptance is where true happiness lies.
That being said, many people find their outward appearance has a huge impact on their self-esteem.
If plastic surgery helps you feel beautiful and less self-conscious or can improve the quality of your life (think of those crooked teeth and being afraid to smile or the woman who has lost hundreds of pounds through gastric bypass getting the loose skin removed), go for it!

Yes to anything that lifts, no to anything that changes appearance (unless it is something like an extremely large nose that is out of proportion to your face)- Thats my personal opinion and I have to say that most of our customers (female) are the same. We have yet to see someone who wants to look like their favorite film star or more worryingly, their pet!

Yes and I did, I went for botox (wrote about it on my blog warfare-delightful-dreary-life.blogspot.com/2009/04/botoxified.html)
I recommend Botox to anyone, It really works - just make sure you do your research and go to the right DR or else you'll may have a disastrous outcome.
