A vaccine is being tested for swine flu, to see if will really protect against the H1N1 virus.

Thousands of volunteers from babies to adults are sought by US researchers to receive this vaccine.

Will you volunteer to receive this vaccine?

I wouldn't even tho I have stock in a company that is able to mass produce it once FDA approved. I got the flu shot once and got sick with it. Only time I had flu like symptoms.

It would depend on how likely I am to be exposed to it...here in South Africa a lot of those nasty pandemic germs seem to bypass us, so if that bug isn't coming to SA, probably not.

I plan to use the vaccine when available. I usually get a flu shot every year.

Definitely not. I once had the flu vaccine and became so ill I was out of work for nearly three months with symptoms that reoccurred months later similar to ME.

There is a derivative in the flu vaccine due to my allergies to egg white I can't have a flu vaccine. I will not volunteer myself for this.

The vaccines have now been released and most countries are treating swine flu as a pandemic. In Canada where health care is funded there are long line ups for the vaccine. Some are complaining of after effects of the shot.
    Side effects are anticipated.
